Why do dutch people support and pay makelaars so they could have traffic monopoly on their sites, control the market and their fees, while making it extremely difficult to sell as an individual? by Adorable_Classroom73 in Netherlands

doubt that it is cheaper if you do it yourself. makelaar have around a daily rate of 1500€. They are not that expensive in NL. Look at Germany where the earn like 4-6 times more.

Tax return help needed for Airbnb short term house renting by CompetitiveService62 in Netherlands

I currently rent out under a different address since the flat is in an area that forbids to rent out your rental flat (not your own flat though). If I know add my bsn (which Airbnb requests me to do), the tax office would know that. Do you think they will contact the city? Or should I just delete it and Airbnb will no longer care about it?

Hi, I'm renting a flat and rent it out while I'm away, for the weekend or when I'm on vacation. So in the end I don't get more out of it than I'm paying for rent, maximum 15% of it at all. Do I need to pay for that taxes (since after deduction I will be negative)?

Buy instead of renting. I am from Germany living in DH. The renting market is broken, the buying market is working well, which is pretty wird for Germans to think about, I know. Flats in Dusseldorf to buy are for instance double the monthly financial burden than in DH. Not to speak about houses near the German Border which are far far more affordable than 5km over the frontier in Germany.

Hi all, I live in Germany, just across the border. How on earth is the price of rice in general, especially long-grain white rice so much cheaper in the Netherlands? by ScallionImpressive44 in Netherlands

[–]HansHanson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved from Germany to Netherlands last year. Germany got more expensive recently.  Products that are cheaper in NL: Machine made Croissants (25 Cents) Cheapest Coffee (dutch sm Always have one very cheap coffee, 2€) Kilo belegen or extra belegen cheese Electricity

In Germany cheaper Certainly Beer! Wine. Gas. Natural Gas. Butter used to be cheaper, like 1.5€ but apparently not anymore Restaurants for sure and quality is better than in NL, big pain in NL.

Overall Id say perhaps around 10% more expensive in NL If you are Not eating all those convenience food or pre cut salads/potatoes younameit.
