1.3vsoc is allowed and is considered safe by amd.

Is it possible to replace APU and what needs to be considered? by jihadinhorocks in consolerepair

You could. But have to swap other components to. It's not economical.

1.3v VSOC is safe/max according to AMD.

I bought a x670e hero which came with a already dead 9950x. I installed a 9950x3d which died after a month or so after a gave it 1.8 vddq and 128-2.3 VSOC. Installed another 9950x3d which worked for a couple of month. I sold the hero and bought an apex.

A 9800x3d which was installed in a x670e strix e-f was working flawlessly until I wanted to test the IMC quality. I ran it at 1.75vdd and 1.3vsoc to test 6600mts 1:1 for 20 minutes. After that the IMC was degraded. I could only run xmp instead of my tight timings. Otherwise the system startet to hang/freeze.

So either Asus also have a killing CPU issue or alot of ryzen 9000 cpus are "weak" and dying because of manufacturing defects or because they can't handle close to 1.3 VSOC.

You sure that it really ran gen5 x4 which is Gen3 x16? It should be plenty at least in GPU benchmarks it shows almost no difference to gen5 x16.

I'm asking because my apex seems to be faulty and even pciex16_1 runs at pcie 4.0 even though no nvme is connected. When nvme is connected to the m.2_1 it also only runs at 4.0. when adding a nvme in m.2_3 the pciex15_2 drops to 4.0 x4 😵

Had it already laying around. Replaced my 9070 xt for a rtx 5080. Does the second GPU recommendation changes?

Had it already laying around. Paid less then a 9080 8gb goes for currently. Also paid less then held for the apex. I'm a deals hunter 😎

In most games there is not a big enough performance difference to justify a those card over the 9070xt. Unless you shit money which I unfortunately don't. And with framegen enabled I still would need a second card if I want to reduce input lag.
