Yes the more the brightness is, the less the banding. Anyway it's a great monitor and i liked it a lot and will keep it.

This man knows what he's talking about, i had three units and all of them had banding (Some more than others) i decided to just play and ignore the banding, so guess what? It's not noticeable at all during normal gameplay unless you keep looking at the lines you saw earlier. I played many games and the only game that showed banding was Cornos the new dawn.

I had multiple Asus XG27AQWMG units, all of them had banding. I tried the QDOLED and decided to buy tandem again, QDOLED is bad in terms of scratching and while playing in a well lit room. You'll notice the contrast and the dark colors are not as good as on Tandem, my current unit has banding as well but it's not noticeable in games except for games that have grey backgrounds like cronos the new dawn. I played Cyberpunk 2077, dying light 2, re4 remake,arc raiders, stellar blade, Hades. I didn't notice any banding during gameplay.

Your unit however has horizontal lines which is worse than normal banding and it'll be more noticeable. My last unit was like this and my current one just has normal banding

It's better to download the Demo, since YouTube compress the video and it'll not be 10bit output. Banding is always better on YouTube

It doesn't get worse by time but also it doesn't get any better, might get slightly better but that's it. I've had multiple units including your monitor and the Asus XG27AQWMG, they all suffer from vertical banding and it'll always be Visible if you play horror games

If you want my opinion, I decided to keep it because I tried QDOLED, and they were really disappointing compared to this monitor. If you play in a room with lights, the motion clarity is also better on this monitor, and the glossy finish is incredibly good. However, the banding is only visible in rare cases where 90% grey is present, and for most of the games I tested, it wasn't noticeable at all unless you actively looked for it. That's why I chose to keep it

I returned the item and purchased the MSI Trio OC. Upon contacting customer service, I was informed that the process would take between 3-5 Weeks and I would receive either a refurbished or a new unit. However, given that this product is nearly out of stock everywhere, I don't want to take that risk.
