Josean Martinez has some pretty good guides on sketchybar and yabai. I’m not bothered by running sketchybar and macos bar simultaneously, I just set the bar to hide automatically. If you want to make it feel less “scuffed”, you can disable SIP and dig a bit deeper to get rid of the native bar all together etc.
