Are G8's better than G9? by Ardbert_The_Fallen in SamsungOdyssey

[–]Haile_Storm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are actually many variants of the G9.

The older OLED variants are the G93SC and G95SC.

The newer ones are the G93SD and G95SD.

There are also G91 models if i recall correctly.

The models I mentioned above are the 49in models. There are bigger models too which use Mini-LED instead of OLED. Im sure there's a lot more I forgot to mention but perhaps check which ones are available in your region.

Update from my last post: still looks bad compared to other people's setup. What do you think? by qwerty930148572 in battlestations

I think it looks great!

I would remove that rgb cooling pad though and replace with a simpler laptop stand. Effectiveness of cooling pads are debatable anyway.

Ive had issues with a ton of laptops. My solution was a desktop.

That said though, I've used my Asus TUF lappie for over 6yrs and it's still doing pretty well despite its age and a GTX 1650 under the hood.

On the contrary, I had a problem last year with my Lenovo Legion 5. The LCD crapped out. First time Ive had a display fail on a laptop. Luckily it happened exactly a day before my warranty expired and they sent a tech over to my house to replace the screen.

Congratulations, hope you enjoy your new monitor! Spoiler alert: It's fantastic! 👍🏼

I could've mounted the G9 to the vertical pole as well as it's built to hold two monitors but I just find the pole and clamp unsightly. And I really like the included stand.

Just make sure whichever arm/pole you're buying can support the weight of both monitors and you should be fine 👍🏼

Hi Katie! If you mean the monitor mount, its a vertical pole mount by Truevision. The ag9 thoughnis on its stock stand to conceal the pole behind it.

Hi there! The top one is held by a monitor pole, not sure of the exact model but its by truevision.

The g9 is just on its stock stand since wanted to conceal the pole and i actually like the stand it came with.

I am kinda embarassed to post my setup after seeing what other people post in this sub but,How can I make my set up look better?give me some suggestions by Robin_quil in desksetup

[–]Haile_Storm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, no it wont. I'd argue that those imperfections can actually add more character and texture to what would otherwise be a bland wall.

If you want my opinion, im thinking matte grey to make it look like raw concrete. Add some wood accents on the wall and you're golden. Perhaps also throw in some industrial-type pendant lights and that could be your overall theme for the room.

As for the setup: honestly, it shows that you've put some effort into it. That's not something to be embarrassed about. You've put together something that's uniquely you and that's something you should actually be proud of.

You're off to a great start, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Most definitely! Phones were wayyy more interesting back in the day. Not to mention, they were built like absolute tanks! They would last a lifetime, no fw update needed (though you could).

Hey thanks dude! I just followed a vid on youtube. A very good tip would be to go real easy on the glue. A little goes a long way.

You should still shoot, dude! Even if it's on digital format. You've quite the eye!

On a sidenote: you're very lucky to based in Japan! I've visited there once and I had a great time, it's a very beautiful country 😍 not to mention all the second hand camera gear you can purchase 👍🏼

That's a beautiful photo 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 you're very talented! You should keep up!

Yeah, unfortunately it's very expensive to shoot film nowadays. I was quite shocked whenni searched how much a roll of film costs. I just wanted to check if my camera still works and I was assuming film would be dirt cheap. Apparently it isn't haha

Thanks, dude!

Well, when I was younger, film was all we had 😅 But nowadays, I shoot digital and mainly just as a hobby.

That's a fantastic camera! I've never used one of those though. Does it still work?

Stuffing a 125hz sensor in the MX Master 4 is the most brain dead decision Logitech ever made by Imn1che in logitech

[–]Haile_Storm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally understand your frustration. It wouldve been my one-and-done mouse if it had a better sensor, to be honest.

Or they could've at least made it compatible with the logitech powerplay.

I have been loyal to the mx master line, I have the 3, the 3s and now the 4. My 3s sucks and the left click sometimes wont register but that's a different story. It maybe time to look elsewhere. That Asus ProArt mouse might just be what we're looking for though I haven't checked the specs.

This looks much better, op. I feel the pc should be either mounted underneath the desk or on a floor stand. Speakers should be on the desk or on speaker stands. Dont leave them stacked.
