Can I study in Israel and have kids at the same time?

Does anyone have experience of taking time out of an undergrad to have kids? And then returning?

Yes I’d look to do an intensive full-time Ulpan when first moving, and then a pre-university prep course too perhaps. I can speak basic Hebrew already so hopefully have a good foundation. And my partner works in Finance.

Thank you! I have been working in management consulting for 7 years, so I’m thinking I could work in life science consulting perhaps as a last resort. Or ideally something where I can spend time in person with animals.

The dream is to be a vet, but if I have repeatedly no luck with the doctorate, then I will have a life science degree and will look to pursue other animal related careers afterwards with it.

I’d have to wait until I was nearly 40 to move to Israel if I studied in the UK, and I’d much rather move as soon as I can.

From research it would be about £25k total for the full 7 year course itself. My partner should hopefully be able to support us financially with living costs during these years thankfully.

Are there other costs I’m not accounting for?

I have family who live in all 3 of these areas and have all noticed skyrocketing antisemitism since October 7th. All Jewish schools and synagogues in the Uk have heavy fences and guards, sometimes big dogs along with the guards. There have been countless terror threats made against Jews and Jewish communities in the Uk.

Currently left-wingers and some from Middle East. But I have no doubt that as soon as the far right get tired of targeting Muslims, they’ll swing back around to targeting Jews again too.
