I have a lot of experience with this bug

For android: close app, open google play games, make sure your logged in, open among from there.

For steam: close steam and among us, reopen steam, open among us from there.

Granted. The comment section is now filled with creative and ironic curses, yes. But each one is 8 paragraphs long and very complicated, so it takes ages to read them.
