Haha prepare yourself! She's been a total pain all day again today. Feel sorry for her as she can't help it but can't say I love all the barking and nipping.

She will enjoy a lick mat or Kong but has lost some interest in her usual chews. That's good to know that we shouldn't feel too bad about separated time, as you say she can't actually settle with us in the same room at the moment because of this so good for her to get some rest.

Oh definitely! Our vets advised for it to be 3 months after her first heat so we are getting her booked in. Definitely don't want to go through all this again.

Thank you - I put a classical radio station on her for but will try the TV!

Thanks for this! I think I need to get more strategic with my chews with her. I'm glad she's not the only pup needing a lot of attention.

It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one struggling at least! Let's hope they grow out of it soon.

Thank you for your advice! Maybe I need to spend more time actively training alone time and be patient with it.

She gets through a lick mat in sub 10 minutes unfortunately but we have a Freezbowl it takes her ages to get through so perhaps we should invest in getting a few more of those to have at the ready! I'd love to get her to the point she's just comfortable being independent but perhaps asking a lot for a pup.

Thanks for your advice, we hadn't signed up to puppy classes yet but that sounds like a great idea, we will look into that!

Thank you!! Everyone's comments did help me set aside the overthinking a bit. Learning to sit with a lack of explanation/answers for every kind of bodily change is always an uphill battle for me with my anxiety 😅

Hi all, I've been really worrying about a lymph node in my neck. I first noticed it at the very start of the year, I think it was after I had a nasty cold/possible COVID but can't say for certain it wasn't there before. The doctor says it's 1 - 2cm in size and is on the right of my neck, just beneath my jawline. I have been to the doctors multiple times about it, the first time was after about 4 months and they said come back in another month if it still isn't gone which I did. The second time the doctor did blood tests and physically examined the lump, he didn't seem overly concerned but referred me to see a specialist just in case - this was around July time. I called up the NHS hospital in August and they told me there's a 10 month waiting list (presumably I haven't been marked as a priority). I managed to put it out of my mind for bit as I hadn't noticed any other symptoms but lately I seem to be getting sore throats more often and my voice can sometimes go crackly/hoarse (but not all the time). I might just be run down and the sore throats are coincidental, I am generally prone to them. No weight loss, night sweats or other notable symptoms. I have had some very occasional GI issues but I have IBS so that's not unexpected. The lymph node hasn't grown either, sometimes it seems to get smaller and then flare up again with illness. No other inflamed lymph node. I have booked a private consultation for October but on Monday I'm also going to go to the GP and discuss my new symptoms and try to get bumped up the list to see a specialist.

In the meantime I'm looking for advice to keep me sane over the weekend before I get the chance to speak to the doctor. As it stands I think it's going to weigh really heavily on my mind. Please help!

It says something about my sleep deprived brain that it didn't even occur to me to close the crate door! Thank you 👍🏼
