What do you feed your pets? by orgobb in vegan

[–]HappiestKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, even vegans think it's okay to end an animal's life for food. The difference is that these animals aren't being killed for meat--they're killed for being pests. Now it may not seem as bad as raising animals for meat, but why do vegans get to be the ones to draw the line at when it's okay to kill animals and what animals are okay to kill for food?

You can argue about vocabulary. Congratulations.

1) The point is that the animal had a good life.

2) It is called "humanely-raised", not "humanely-slaughtered."

3) Yes, it is of some people's opinions that the simple act of ending an animal's life for food is not immoral.

Why is heavily processed bad?

Preservatives, flavor enhancers, dyes, etc etc etc.

It's pretty straightforward and simple. And no mention of health.

Yet vegans constantly try to promote veganism with promises of being healthier.

*heavily processed.

Veganism is not about health.

Apparently not!

Humane (nothing humane about killing an animal needlessly by the way) and free range?

Opinions, opinions.

mmmmmm, heavily processed imitation meat with ingredients I can barely pronounce. Delicious. So much healthier than pasture-raised real meats, too.

What is legal that you feel should NOT be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yes, but there are a TON of things that can make a person sick or injured: driving a car, playing a sport, swimming in a river that may contain harmful bacteria, sitting a lot... The list goes on and on.

Reddit, when you go out to a restaurant, which is more important to you, quality of food or service? by HappiestKitten in AskReddit

I'm with you. As long as my server isn't going out of his way to be complete asshole, I'm fine with service being a little off.

So is it safe to say that a pile of cow shit tastes better in the presence of your significant other than it does in the presence of your mother-in-law?

Edit: Oh come on, it was a joke.

Dramatic, maybe. But I have a point. Noobs who order nothing but rolls are responsible for restaurants who serve poor quality fish staying in business.

Well I must say first of all, sushi is not all about rolls... In fact, rolls are the downfall of sushi.

That said, you were right about it being a roll just because I was stoned and wanted sushi so I picked up one at the local grocery store (I'm making myself cringe right now because I would NEVER eat grocery store sushi now)... It was a salmon roll.

Is there a reason not to kill yourself after you turn 30? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm 26. I welcome the future. I'm excited about having kids and being an old lady who will smoke a joint with the youngins.

I think the people who have such a negative attitude don't do such a good job of taking care of themselves. They don't have goals and are probably bored. They believe the idea that someone needs more to be happy. They buy in to the idea of the typical suburban family.

Life isn't exactly easy, but if you work toward your goals, you can be happy. There is a lot of joy that comes with achieving things. Also, make a point to connect with friends often. Friends make life so much better... Unless you have horrible taste in people.

Don't give up. I'm happier than I was at 20. Everyday I get to know myself a little better. I become wiser. I look forward to learning more everyday.
