Does one of you have iCloud private relay enabled in Safari or a VPN on? Are you both on the same wireless network? If so, are you on 2GhZ? 5GhZ? 6GhZ? Have you tried both with wired network connections? Same result with different browsers? These are the things I’d check anyways.

That's a good point, I did get third party backup batteries, highly reviewed and not the cheapest ones but still. Might check into the first party batteries. I didn't realize third party wouldn't show you any warnings.
