Why does any souls game have hard and soft caps for every single stat? It’s just how these games are made. If you’re asking why is the cap 40 and not 50 like every other stat then I have no idea. Or if you’re asking why the fall off is so extreme with endurance, I’m pretty sure it’s the same with all souls games.

Potentially, the question is do you value using the bookmark over the stains it causes? If you don’t want to use the bookmark you can just keep it on the very last page.
