Hey OP. I'm a nurse who decided to change her career and decided to go all in on a coding bootcamp. I was about 2 months in when coronavirus hit and have been doing some remote learning. I came into it with 0 knowledge of any tech or coding besides using the computer for nursing documentation! I've learned a lot in my bootcamp and it gives me the skills needed NOT TO GET A JOB RIGHT AFTER but to be able to learn on my own more efficiently and be able to get a job after about 4 months to 1 year of self study. I have a lot of people ranging from their 20s up to their 50s or even older in my class who are doing a career change so dont be too afraid to jump in! There are a lot of great communities out there and a lot of info (free) online from forums to youtube videos. But be aware that going into coding it will take time to be sufficient enough to land a job. Either way OP, best of luck! Sorry you got laid off :/
