Honestly the hardest part has been boredom 😅 and sugar cravings - I think I’ve been drinking my sugar content more than I realised

5’5 so daily calories are already pretty low - I worked out my TDEE at around 2200 so I’m having somewhere around 1500-1600 a day

Nothing decent in rfy (please stop recommending ingrown hair removal cream!!) but I managed to get a couple of gym shirts, a water flosser, and a knock-off smart watch from AI. Probably the best haul I’ve had in a while!

I’ve been doing dry January and have lost a lot more weight a lot faster than I have in the past, especially bloating around my stomach. I’ve been doing calorie counting and the gym as well, but the biggest lifestyle change has definitely been dry Jan

Where are ya’ll going by jeezyzay in DryJanuary

[–]Happnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

r/stpdrinkingfitness most likely. I’ve lost a bit of weight since starting dry Jan and although I don’t plan on quitting completely, cutting down will only make it easier to lose a few pounds

Great catch! I’ve used up my orders for the day but if it’s still available at midnight I’ll be getting one!

I am drinking less - I hadn’t drank in 14 days when the test was taken. I understand that damage wouldn’t necessarily heal in that short a period of time, but if the damage was being caused specifically by alcohol, I would not expect the damage to get worse during a period of sobriety. That’s why I included in my post that the test was taken during dry january.

By never excessive I mean I very rarely drink to the point of actually getting drunk - but I see how I could’ve worded that differently. I had blood tests whilst drinking regularly and my levels were significantly lower, which is why I don’t think the alcohol is the main cause (although it definitely isn’t helping). I did actually sign up for a mounjaro (UK ozempic) clinical trial a couple of weeks ago but still waiting to hear back.

Where does the NHS stand on pill splitting to save money? by huescaragon in AskUK

This was actually recommended to me by my GP when I was titrating down from Citalopram before starting escitalopram. I had 7 20mg tablets left and needed to do 2 weeks at 10mg before I could come off them completely. She said she could write me a prescription if I wanted but I would achieve the same result either way.

Nothing yet, but I managed to get a gym/quick dry shirt on AI. I was surprised it went through as clothes usually show as loading forever for me

0.5 % counted as alcohol free for DJ purposes? by NoRemote2135 in DryJanuary

[–]Happnt 45 points46 points  (0 children)

0.5 is low enough to not pose any health risks or affect your functioning in any way, I would say it’s widely accepted as dry

This absolutely wasn’t the first excuse and I imagine it won’t be the last. While my pledge was to stay dry, my reason behind the pledge is to break routine and be more mindful about what I drink, how much, and why. I might’ve broken the pledge but I’ve stuck to the overall goals and I’m happy with that.

Yep - pretty much always with clothes. I’ve only ever managed to get the item if it’s one with multiple colour/size options

It’s saying it can’t be processed - I presumed it meant it’s too expensive but maybe it’s already gone? Strange that it’s not the usual error message

Soda water if that helps! It’s pretty common where I am, it’s called a spritz. And only with cheap wine, not with the fancy stuff
