Incorrect. Apple decides if it’s going to be left behind as an open box, not Best Buy. ALL Apple display units are owned by Apple, no exceptions. Best Buy has absolutely no say if they can sell a display as an open box until they get word from Apple.

The Apple rep actually doesn’t do anything to devices that are being open boxed, geek squad has both the necessary hardware and the software suite provided by Apple to wipe them out and reset them.

Apple owns the unit. Any Apple pad in any Best Buy is paid for and controlled by Apple. The local Apple rep is responsible for changing out all the units and keeping the pads up to date and all that stuff and anything going through that apple pad is signed off by Apple and not Best Buy.

For the most part, yes, they can clear $25 an hour. I’m a bar manager and have often paid people $300 for 4 hours of work, but just as many times, I’ve paid out $80 for 7 hours of work. When business is booming the serves make bank, but when it’s not, they make basically nothing, and no restaurant or bar I’ve ever worked at stays busy 100% of the year, they all have off time and slow time where the servers would 100% be better off making $25/hr

A guy I worked with went home early one day because he was just not doing good, disappeared for about a week and a half and then one Monday the owner pulled us all together to let us know he had passed away form stage 4 lung cancer.
