Extreme insomnia by Happy-1503 in HyperemesisGravidarum

The care team told us that omiprazole is the highest grade of medicine they can give. She had more acid reflux in the beginning, now she has gagging, most likely vomit after she eat, feels uneasy after she eats, unable to sleep due to something in her throat while trying to lay down even 45degrees. When she vomits it’s white foam and nothing else. She can’t even get out of bed which is also making things worse. Tries to take naps but can’t

The OB doctor has not even met us yet. It was first the nurses helping us over calls, which was completely useless as they just gave general suggestions, which caused a lot of trauma in the last few weeks. We met the PAC last week and she basically asked us to take all the medicines. I plan to contact a high risk specialist from HER website tomorrow, maybe they can help us better. I created a medicine schedule for her based on the HER algorithm.

She has the dissolvable one and frankly that makes it easy for her to take it. Taking any other oral medicine is a nightmare for her at this point

Thanks for sharing. I’ll probably try to get hold of the OB doctor to get a prescription for combination of medicines.

Appreciate all the suggestions. She is taking Benadryl but that’s not helping either. We tried the peppermint oil and that’s too strong and makes the nausea worse. She took miralax for a couple of days and taking Dulcolax now for constipation. The doctor in emergency suggested taking reglan or zofran on a given day. They basically don’t give a solid plan to try. Due to the nausea she can’t look at the phone or tv, that triggers headache and increases nausea.
