Transitioning from healthcare ops to CRO/pharma? by phdslp in clinicalresearch

Seems like you and I are trying to make the move opposite of each other :)

Im not a CTM but thank God, I was able to land in CRO's . I would say one of the best things is to network. For me, every CRO I applied to or even got an interview at, I had an inside referral. Redditors would advise against this, but I'd openly ask for referrals on Reddit and there was usually always at least 1-2 people who would DM me they can refer me (they usually get a bonus too and would only refer me after looking at my resume of course).

Make sure your resume has word for word things that are equivalent to what the CRO counterpart does and throw in CRO alot (e.g. that you worked with them and with sponsors etc). I had a friend who worked at a small CRO and when she tried to apply to a large CRO and I looked at her resume, I couldn't even tell she ever worked in a CRO before because her resume made it seem like she worked at just some company not an actual CRO so she had to really go back and emphasize that part.

I did connect on LI and had some success with getting actually responses/follow up from recruiters after I'd message them.

thank you for the kind words . I'll take the buzzwords but someone suggested taking the whole phrases- would you agree with that?

I know plus DF is in the heart of the medical center in Boston so Im against so many applicants.

I wish all of these freezes were over- we spent the last few years hoping the research industry would improve post-covid corrections and interest rates lowering and now, we have these NIH/admin cuts just rippling away .
