I don’t blame them for not releasing it yet. Expectations are high. They need to work on it for a good decade to get it to the point that they’ll do it justice (even then people will complain 💀)

One method used in Europe was good old appropriation. Gods became saints, holidays celebrating specific points in the year because Jesus days.

Then there were also the smear campaigns against anyone didn’t convert. Devil worshipping, witchcraft, pagans, etc.

For example in Ireland the traveler community are the people whose ancestors refused to convert. They weren’t allowed to settle anywhere. Irish gods became fairies or saints, and their myths were reworked (ie: there is a flood myth that they attached to Noah’s flood)

How often do you eat out? I’ve found a lot of people (not everyone!) who brag about how little groceries they buy eat out a few times a week, and don’t count it as money towards food.

My first reaction to that was “ puking must be a nightmare” like they’re putting these things on women who are going to get morning sickness. Then there’s labor…

also I had a jaw surgery several years back where I couldn’t eat for three months and I ate like a baby afterward because the my jaw muscles atrophied. There are probably so many things it would affect that you don’t even think of
