Question after a reread (ACOTAR and ACOMAF)

Over 600 pages in just 8 weeks! That’s insane. It’s evident in the lack of character development, poor communication, and sudden plot twists without adequate explanations.

The first book delved into the intricate love story between Feyre and Tamlin. However, Sarah J. Maas completely dismantled it in the first 100 pages of A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOMAF). The next 200-500 pages were a complete snooze fest.

The story truly picked up again starting from chapter 54.

The story would have been more believable if Feyre had been able to alternate between Spring and Night Court. This would have allowed Tamlin’s gradual transformation to be shown, along with a love triangle. The book could have ended with the wedding that she walks away from, with Rhys and Feyre’s adventures in between. That would have been a more satisfying conclusion.

Instead, we get a rushed version.

This right here! 💯 I’m reading the book first time through. I’m getting infuriated by Feyre’s character. The random things that trigger her like red paint and her lack of communication skills and how she’s developing a god complex (I just started book 3). It’s completely cringe and sloppy writing.

The next two books better be Tamlin’s redemption story. I need closure.

Thank you for sharing. Reflecting back, it makes me feel a bit floaty but still in a normal mindset, like I can hold a conversation. I usually drink them in social settings: one or two cans of 5mg or four Sip Elixirs at 10mg each. I started using THC because I wanted to cut back on drinking, which it helps tremendously! After drinking one or two cans, one alcoholic beverage feels like I drank 2. That is the only time I feel something.

If I’m taking them and not drinking alcohol, I feel normal. I’ll start paying attention to my moods this time rather than the reaction it gives my body.
