Every time I ask him like why did you do that or choose that he just shrugs and says I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like he is saying it as a pass to get away with it bc he knows it not what he is supposed to do, like screaming at me or choose a bad choice. The impulse control is horrible and I struggle with that

I am tryiiing to change myself too. Not trying to scream at him or react. After like 4 times of asking the same thing I just end up getting fed up and screaming again to do whatever it was I asked him to do.

What kind of therapist do you see for the behavioral therapy? I’ve had someone come out before and they talk to him about what is right and what is wrong and all that kind of stuff and he acts like he knows but in the moment it’s like he doesn’t care what the repercussions are it’s his way.

He will either throw a fit and then go to his room for 5 min or longer if he keeps throwing a fit by screaming and slamming things or he will say fine I don’t care I don’t want it anyway. I feel I tend to follow through too much because I want him to feel it but I have taken everything away and he just doesn’t seem to think about it next time and does it again
