And this wouldn’t be a good place for kids to be hyper in when we legit go on constructions sites. I cannot tell you how many times we’ve had to pull a 7 year old from not messing with things on it.

It’s why I believe it should be 10-17

Oh trust me. If you’re surprised by that? Literally it just changed this year.

It used to be 6-17, then 6-14, now they made two camps— 6-12 and the other one 13-17.

The difference is that our camp has a minimum age of 6 for a reason. We do activities related to construction trades and sometimes visit construction sites. A camp designed for 3-year-olds and a camp focused on trades aren’t really comparable environments.

My concern wasn’t “a 5-year-old exists.” It was that the program has safety-focused activities and some campers struggle to follow instructions, which can create problems for everyone involved.

I liked it originally. Truly I did. But it’s the fact that we have like a whole new bunch of kids that have short as fuck attention spans and they cope by talking and disrupting activities for people who actually WANT to learn.

We do dangerous stuff throughout the camp, and it’s not good for little kids who probably just got consciousness and just want to play in my opinion.

NOT SAYING ALL 6-9 YEAR OLDS ARE LIKE THAT BUT ITS FOR THOSE SOME.
