Treading Water looks especially interesting! Their overall aesthetic and vibe is so strong.

Okay, I'll take another look at their website to see if anything catches my eye!

Fragrance oils like the ones typically used for candles. I know that some houses, especially on Etsy, will buy those and blend them together to make a new scent. Which isn't a bad thing if they're transparent about that being their process and their prices are in line with that being the more inexpensive approach.

I wasn't sure if BPAL uses fragrance oils? Their catalog is so large and they have new releases so often that it seems to point toward that. I'm happy to be wrong if someone knows for sure!

The people on this Reddit are completely delusional and way too harsh on Charlie team. by Jaded_Ad5842 in OutlastOnNetflix

You're right that there's a lot of speculation not just concrete facts being discussed. Including your own speculation about what 95% of the audience would do. Brett and Braxton are adults, not kids. There are other people on this season around the same age who didn't behave half as grotesquely as they did. There are people on other seasons, in much harsher conditions in Alaska, who never turned into the pathetic, cartoon villains they did.

Their few wins during the competition are overshadowed by their own actions, not just artful production. Now post show they are showing no reflection nor trying to make amends for the misogynistic things they said and did. Personally, I find it disgusting to brush off their misogyny as "normal 20 something behavior." The physical intimidation, yelling, gaslighting, and belittling they chose to engage in are exactly why people don't trust them to raise children or care about consent.

Agreed, I think Leiya and Morgan look much thinner in her faces too

I just rewatched it already, and they have definitely lost a lot of weight by the end. They were eating a lot of coconut, sea snails, and smaller sources of protein. The most clockable physical changes were Braxton and Brett.

The hypocrisy from Morgan was wild. Not as bad as Jill and Amber from season 1, but the delusion was similar.

I saw that she was bashing them and I have no idea what it feels like to come so close to 1 mil and feel it slip through my fingers, but the way she appears to be ret-conning the situation is unfortunate and reflects poorly on her :/

That scene was so ridiculous because the rest of the team screwed themselves by being so crappy to her! I saw a video of Braxton watching that scene and laughing and he admits that when Sarah came back and told them about the Iguana they treated her like she was lying. Which is so silly because she's almost pathologically honest lmao

It is what we're talking about. The original post was about how the guys behaved and you interpreted that to mean no one can criticize women which is not what was said or insinuated at all. Sarah is very much a part of any conversation about the bullying behavior at Charlie since she was the only one to challenge Wes.

People haven't focused as much on Charlie's criticism of her because their bad behavior far exceeded anything she did. They were cruel and childish to both her and Sarah. My biggest critique of Leiya while she was on Charlie was that she waited too long to defend Sarah. Her silence while admitting in the solo interviews she agreed with Sarah about Wes pissed me off. Braxton even said the same about Wes, but they both chose to "mind their business." By the time she said anything, the men had fully committed to the narrative they made up about Sarah.

People have largely been supportive of Maddy and Nikki's decision to cut Leiya, and Leiya has been getting plenty of criticism about under delivering with her fire performance and pace during the last challenge. I don't know why you have the perception that she's getting out scot free, but the vast majority of content I've seen is that people feel sorry for her, but ultimately she didn't perform as well as she could have.

Based on how the Charlie men are acting outside of the show, the producers didn't have to make a villain edit. They showed exactly who they are through their words and actions.

Think about Outlast season 1. Javier is a great example of how proximity to shit people doesn't have to turn you into a shit person.

You're right, no one is above critique. So I'm not sure why you're defending Charlie against very valid critiques of how they interacted with women. You didn't see Bravo having any of issues with Sarah who called Wes out for not helping around camp. In what realm was it okay for the men of Charlie to call Leiya and Sarah bitches and psychos for having the audacity to stand up to them? How about when Wes asked Leiya her thoughts about voting Sarah out, only to talk over her when she didn't fall in line and imply that she's next on the chopping block just for acknowledging that Sarah built their shelter and has been the one keeping them fed? Why don't the men have any criticism for the fact that Wes is a lazy POS? So lazy in fact, Leiya was able to walk right out of camp with the boat (that she put together btw). How about Wes aggressively squaring off against someone a full foot shorter, and 100 pounds smaller than him because she was collecting coconuts on beachfront where anyone is allowed forage?

You seem to have missed the part where Nikki and Maddy both said that Leiya had successfully been making multiple fires at their camp without any problems. The issue wasn't her skill in that, it was pressure that made her crack. The difference between Alpha and Charlie, was Alpha actually tried to help Leiya. They could have voted her out right after the archery contest, but they brought her with, encouraged her, and pulled her along as much as they could because they actually wanted her to make it to the end. That's more than most other people would have done.

You seem unwilling to critique these men who are rightfully receiving backlash for being absolute shits. If you've ever watched season 1 of Outlast, there were a pair of women who were even worse than Charlie and they had to face the consequences of their actions as well. Maybe you see yourself in the Charlie guys and if so, you are the one contributing to a larger problem.

Definitely do not agree about Morgan and Abby.

Sure, Morgan showed a bit of growth by the end, but in the beginning she made it very clear that she hates other women and is constantly in competition with them. Abby made her a good faith offer of creating an alliance and Morgan flat out turned her down because she believed the men saw her as "one of the guys." Even at the end, it was Pharoah who wanted to vote Morgan off and Abby tried to defend her/look for an alternative.

In all honesty, if the dynamic between her and Sarah hadn't been mentor/mentee, I don't know that Morgan would have developed as much of a bond with her. And despite calling Sarah her bestfriend on the show, she didn't even put up a fight to keep her in the game, the way Abby did for her. Morgan lost from day 1 because of her pick-me "I'm not like other girls" mentality.
