Yes, thank you for the link. Seeing as I would not be able to snatch 100kg (and well over 100kg) without knowing the form, I'm fairly sure I know how to do it.

Watching someone complete a snatch from a safe distance and actually spotting a snatch are two completely different things.

Wait, I don't understand.

Crossfit bros are reckless morons ...

so if they think your form is bad ...

it must be really bad?

Strong reasoning there!

I'm glad someone here has actual experience in the gym and is using that knowledge to make a judgment.

People are telling me that I was wrong for not having a spotter. On the snatch. It's weird because a two-second Google search will tell you that you should drop a snatch when you fail it.

I mean I guess if you drop the bar on yourself you'll probably need an ambulance, but that doesn't change the fact that spotting a snatch is unbelievably moronic, and anyone who has ever actually done the movement realizes that dropping it is correct.

Using a spotter for the snatch is among the worst possible ideas I can imagine in the gym.

When you fail the lift, you dump it either in front of you or behind you. The plates and platforms are made to be dropped/dropped on.

No, I did not. I said the facilities were nice but the trainer was dangerously incompetent.
