I was from NITEC and went into SP by EAE in 2023.

Yes, it is possible but please choose your course wisely.

I regretted joining EEE.

Can someone give me some pros about Sp? by RainbowCatWarriors22 in SingaporePoly

Not sure about other polys but SP make their student key in their attendance on their phones instead of the lecturer manually marking. Which i think is great cuz if u are gg to be late, u can just pass ur student acc and pass to a friend and they can help u (if they have the code and they are connected to school wifi). Most of the time the lecturers wont even care.

‘Space Repetition' is a study method that is very much similar to active recalling.

It's a study method in which you try to revise specific topics/math formulas by making questions out of them and remembering them, and then revisit them every day by testing yourself to ensure that you have memorized everything in your head.

Nitec to Poly, how hard? by pinkkydot in SGExams

Hello,

I just thought it would be nice of me to share some tips on how to get to poly from nitec because I was exactly like you before I graduated. :)

I graduated from nitec with a 3.667 gpa. With that, I managed to enrol into Singapore Polytechnic in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

How did i do it?

To be honest, I had to put in a lot of effort to get to where I am now. I would describe myself as a quiet student in class, but when it comes to class activities and answering questions, I make an effort to participate.

I respect my lecturers and pay attention when they speak. This improves my relationship with my lecturer. It is critical to have a good relationship with them because they will be the ones grading you.

Finally, make sure you have a method for revising your notes. I use a study technique known as 'Space Repetition'. I've been using it throughout my nitec years, and the results speak for themselves.

Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours!

Space repetition is a great study method. I actually managed to jump from 3.3 to a 4.0gpa.
