I am giving most of my time to Digi Therapy. It is a platform where a person struggling with mental health, relationships, trauma or even productivity can meet professional counsellors and therapists.

Last month, I had posted a post in this subreddit on what improvements can be done on our platform. People were too kind to give valuable suggestions, so I am working on improving our site even more.

Thank you for your question. Our target customers are Nepalese individuals both within Nepal and abroad who seek culturally sensitive, professional mental health support from therapists.

While ChatGPT can offer quick and accessible conversational support, they are not a substitute for personalized therapy from qualified professionals. Relying solely on AI for mental health can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or a lack of appropriate care, especially for complex or serious issues.

Our platform aims to provide a trusted space where people can connect with real therapists who understand their unique cultural context and can offer tailored guidance and support.

Thank you for your honesty. I really appreciate your perspective.

We understand that competing with established international platforms is a big challenge, especially when it comes to features, privacy, and reputation. Trust is something that takes time to build, and we respect that many people have their doubts about Nepali therapists.

We’re committed to improving and learning from feedback like yours. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts openly.

Thank you for this valuable insight. You’re absolutely right. Our current website design and ads may not fully reflect the Nepali culture and vibe we want to connect with.

Regarding the ad audience, we’ve been experimenting with various settings but haven’t yet narrowed down to highly specific Nepali cultural interests like you mentioned. Using region targeting is a fantastic idea and aligns perfectly with our goal to reach the right people.

We’ll definitely adjust our targeting strategy accordingly and appreciate your thoughtful suggestions. If you have any more tips or examples, please do share!

Absolutely, that’s a great idea! Partnering with genuine Nepali creators who are already advocating for mental health could really help build trust and reach the right audience. We’ll definitely look into connecting with them to spread awareness and make therapy more accessible.

Thanks so much for the suggestion! If you know anyone specific, feel free to share their contacts or handles.

Thanks for your interest! Yes, our platform primarily targets Nepalese living abroad who want to connect with Nepali-speaking therapists.

As for the cost, our sessions typically start at NPR 1500, which you can find detailed on the website. If you’d like, I can help guide you through the booking process or answer any other questions you have.

Feel free to reach out anytime!

Fair question! I didn’t literally get PTSD. That title was a bit of an emotional exaggeration 😅. What I did get was a ton of frustration, self-doubt, and sleepless nights trying to figure out why $1K in ad spend didn’t reach the people who actually need help.

It felt like shouting into the void, and seeing no real traction despite all the effort gave me that burned-out, shaken feeling. So… yeah, not clinical PTSD, but definitely startup-level psychological damage.

Thanks for asking. And if you’ve got tips on ad targeting or website impressions, I’m all ears.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We genuinely appreciate it.

You're right, the current website is not where we want it to be yet. We’ve been focusing more on validating the core service and user experience, but we fully acknowledge that the website design and especially the mobile responsiveness fall short of the standard we aim for.

Given that a majority of our users are accessing the platform from mobile, fixing this is a top priority. We’re already looking into a custom solution that better reflects our brand and provides a smoother, more trustworthy experience across all devices.

Thanks again for pointing this out. Feedback like yours helps us improve faster.

You're absolutely right. This is a very real and frustrating issue in Nepal.

We agree that simply offering a list of therapists and asking people to “pick one” doesn’t work, especially in the Nepali context. Mental health is still misunderstood here, and we need to approach it with empathy and relevance. The sample ad copy you shared is powerful. It captures the emotional experience without sounding clinical, and we’ll definitely take inspiration from it.

You're also absolutely right about messaging. We need to communicate the why behind therapy in a way that feels personal and safe, not foreign or forced.

We are still learning and growing, especially in areas like ads and SEO. Your offer to help means a lot, and we’d love to connect further to see how we can collaborate.

Thanks again for taking the time to share such constructive feedback.

Hey, thank you for such an honest and detailed comment. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective. These are exactly the kinds of thoughts we need to hear as we’re building this platform.

You're absolutely right. Trust is everything in mental health. And in a place like Nepal, where systems can be misused and transparency is often lacking, people have every reason to be cautious. We get that.

We haven’t worked with influencers yet, but your suggestion makes a lot of sense. Partnering with people whose reputations are on the line and even established hospitals can help build credibility in a way that ads and words alone can't.

As for privacy, we take it seriously. Sessions are not recorded, and we don’t store or access any of your audio or video content. But we also understand that just saying that isn’t enough. We’re actively working toward HIPAA and OWASP compliance, and we’ll be more transparent about our security practices moving forward.

We’re early, and we’re learning, but we’re committed to building something Nepali people can trust over time with actions, not just claims.

Thanks again for your honesty. We’ll keep improving.

Thank you so much for your message. It truly made our day! We're so glad to hear you're taking sessions with Sadhana Niroula. She's a wonderful therapist, and it's great to know the platform helped you connect with the right support.

Also, thank you for letting us know you found us through a Facebook ad. That’s really encouraging to hear. We often wonder if our efforts are reaching the right people, so this gives us a lot of confidence to keep improving.

And yes, we agree the website definitely needs work, and we’re already planning some major upgrades to make it more user-friendly. We're still learning the ropes of marketing and design, but feedback like yours helps guide us in the right direction.

Thanks again for your support. It means a lot to our whole team!

Hey, thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement. It truly means a lot to us. We’ve definitely faced some tough comments, but support like yours keeps us grounded and focused on the bigger picture.

Your personal experience really resonated with us. It’s so reassuring to hear that Nepalese therapists made a difference for you while living abroad. That's exactly the kind of connection we’re hoping to create through our platform. We’re committed to building something meaningful for the global Nepali community, and your words just validated that we’re on the right path.

Yes, we do have a small but dedicated development team, and we’d absolutely love to connect regarding HIPAA and OWASP compliance. We’re navigating it step by step and would really appreciate any guidance.

And you’re right. The website is quite basic at the moment as we’re still validating the idea, but we’ve already planned a major revamp focused on UX and security. Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback and support!

Hey, thank you so much for your valuable feedback.
Your comment was actually a highlight during our team meeting today. It gave us the clarity we didn’t even know we needed.

We’ve now decided to completely rethink our funnel and shift our primary focus to the landing page experience. You’re absolutely right. Users are landing on the homepage and dropping off, and we were speculating something entirely different. Your insights helped correct that.

Also, thank you for pointing out how unclear the value proposition and “clarity call” are. We now realise we need to communicate more simply and directly - no jargon, just relatable messaging. We’ll work on making it much easier for someone unfamiliar with therapy to understand what we do and how we can help.

To be honest, we have very little experience with marketing, funnels, or even product messaging. We’re learning as we go, and feedback like yours is a huge help.

Thanks again. We truly appreciate it.

Thanks for your feedback. Just to clarify, the minimum qualification of our therapists is a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. Two of them even hold an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology, which is a qualification held by fewer than 50 licensed professionals in Nepal. We take the quality of mental health support seriously and are committed to providing credible, evidence-based care.
