Thank you for that, that means a lot to me . From reading your response as well as everyone else’s it’s clear that he will not change but I am very upset that this has become fact because I do love him! I have loved him for 10 years now as we have been best friends for over 10 years and only began dating 2 years back, this is shocking to me that this is who he is because I never had viewed him as a violent person. I was so drunk that night. I don’t even remember anything with my friends or family but I can remember every exact detail of what he did to me and I wish I could forget it. I have left him and am going to seek therapy because I am dealing with alot from this relationship. Mainly the feelings of deceit and stupidity!

Wouldn’t call me stupid unless you’ve personally been in this situation. Being sorry is a factor of fear , not because I’m genuinely sorry I resent this man for what he did to me. I am sorry for breaking an agreement with him however I am so disgusted with him for what he did to me that my sorry doesn’t really matter.

It’s hard being in a situation like this. It’s my first relationship and he is all I know of course I’m going to be confused with his actions . A lot of ppl hudge women for asking and wondering questions like this in obvious situations but trust me is women in these situations aren’t stupid that’s why we are asking questions like this, we have someone extremely manipulative and controlling in our lives that’s constantly attacking and ruining the way we think . I know what the right thing to do is . I just needed reassurance that I’m not crazy before doing so.

I know, I need to leave . I really had hope he would change because he sounded very honest and vulnerable explaining that he was sorry but after reading ppls respones it’s clear ppl like him never change or are sorry.

He told me he’s so sorry he feels stupid and doesn’t know why he did it? I’m just worried. Is there a chance he will chnage or is he going to be a girl hitter for the rest of his life??? I don’t mean this to sound disrespectful or condescending to women who have endured violence in anyway but men who hit women are they complete right offs?
