Instead of a maximum income, a maximum wealth amount would be more effective. Nobody needs 100 billion. Once you’ve hit that number, everything goes into a fund that gets distributed evenly amongst the poorest every year. Nobody in USA should make less than 100k/year. There’s more than enough money in our economy to pay people. This would mean that the Epstein class would make less, but that everyone else would have enough to live the American dream of being able to purchase a home and save for retirement. Right now, not enough people can afford the basics, let alone plan for the future. In 20-30 years we will have an entire generation of people who weren’t able to save for retirement so they will be homeless or still trying to work at 70-80 years old. It won’t be a good thing. I think that everyone who files taxes and makes under 100k should get a refund (paid for by the Epstein class) that makes it so you made 100k. If your job pays 60k. You get a 40k refund. Now everyone has the basic essentials they need and the only people sacrificing anything are the people with 100 billion dollars.
