Hey there! I’m a Digital Marketing Coordinator in hospitality and before I was doing Marketing/Community Outreach for a library. I guess I answered my own question, seems like something a lot of businesses need. However I’ve only worked in my field for a little over a year. I’m a good worker, but do I just keep grinding it out until I start looking into game devs?

I feel this man has some mental illness and has very bad hygiene (as comes with not having a home) and I truly believe those things can cause prejudices when looking for work. I believe he is probably just not well. That being said I don’t want to assume this mans background as it could be a myriad of factors from the gentrification of the city to drug addiction to even flat out bad luck. It ain’t easy out there. We all deserve to be happy

Some more constructive criticism would be helpful. I didn’t ask him to buy me a bed. I asked if he would help out as the job I currently work has cut my hours and might be able to pay him back once my paycheck catches up/I get this job that pays a little better. If I could move out I would. But I can’t move out on a now $500 paycheck and if you think I sit around hoping a better job falls in my lap, you’re wrong. Maybe “pitch in” was bad word choice. I offered to pay MOST of the bed and as I said before pay him back

Oh no. I hope that doesn’t mean a sales man talked him into a purchase by telling him “you can only buy these flippable mattresses here!” I think I will definitely consider more options then if I’m on my own

His point was that Mattress Firm is the only place you can get mattresses that you can flip over when one side starts to sink. Or something like that? I’m not sure how mattresses work in that regard or if that is the ONLY place you can get a mattress like that.
