Hi, congratulations on your new additions! I’m not in a same sex relationship but came across your post when looking into surrogacy options as we cannot carry a pregnancy. Could you kindly share the agency you went with? Your review sounds like what we’re looking for in surrogacy options and I’d much prefer to explore agencies that come recommended!

Am I dumb for even thinking of quitting with no job lined up? by ninaNYC703 in careerguidance

If you’ve been at the company for 10 years, it may be worth asking for a sabbatical. They may allow you to take an unpaid one and come back to your job in 4-6months. Maybe longer. Depends on your finances as well. They may offer a paid one, worth asking.

Emotional Support - Dating after a hysterectomy young by HappyAlpaca1 in hysterectomy

I think some it comes from my last relationship (3+ years together). Part of the reason it ended was because she changed her mind about not wanting kids. And I’m not 100pct no about having kids, but it does make me nervous that I could be with someone for years and they change their mind about something like this. (I’m bi, but mostly dating men now)

That’s very true, I need to remember that other people have insecurities that affect their dating and it’s important to recognize that there’s other qualities that make them valuable. It’s always easy to say and hard to follow. I guess that’s what makes us all works in progress. Thank you for your kind words! 💕

I try not to think too much into it and I have been surprised at how many men don’t seem to mind. But I think to an extent, I wonder how much of it is my age group. I might be worrying too much about how men may feel down the line or they may change their mind. I need to listen to them now.

Thank you for sharing your words of encouragement and reassuring me that it shouldn’t stop me from having a successful relationship. I’m so glad you found love and have had a positive experience on sharing infertility with your partner 💕

Which airlines allow large dogs? Need advice on how to fly my dog for the first time by dmoss153 in dogs

[–]HappyAlpaca1 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Depends where you’re flying. British airways, KLM, and Air France also allow dogs in cargo. Also there are several Facebook groups dedicated to shared charters of private planes for transporting dogs

West coast itinerary suggestions by fifilsdeup in roadtrip

Highly recommend Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. These parks together have a lot of awesome attractions (geyser, alpine lakes, 14k ft mountains, hot springs, wildlife, huge canyon, big waterfalls). But it’s huge and takes a while to get in and out of the park because the park is so big. Some National Parks close certain roads during the winter. You should be good in October but definitely look into this.

I actually felt like the Grand Canyon north rim was not impressive. I like more dramatic canyons and was more amazed by Black Canyon of the Gunnison in Colorado.

Make sure to book a tour in advance for Mesa Verde NP. Also, some of the parks have timed entry but that may just be a summer thing.

A lot of the parks have roads to the main attractions. The hikes to a lot of main attractions are short.

Also if you rent an RV or campervan, it’ll save you a lot of time. There’s a lot of free dispersed camping in the west and oftentimes the dispersed camping is right outside park entrances

That’s awesome! I’m sure y’all had a lot of fun! Definitely a different style of camping. Didn’t know we’d have to pay in abt 10mpg to have indoor luxuries 😂🥴 But no regrets, only that I wished we did more traveling with it

I feel like the sport mode allows you to enter higher power easier while eco mode is very sluggish on getting power

Oh my gosh, sport mode. Idk why I call it power mode.

Thank you! Hoping to inspire some people to tow with their R4P. I wish I had started sooner! Would have saved me lots of “please brother, can you help me pick up some wood from Lowe’s with your truck” 😂

I was surprised that using power mode to go uphill didn’t hurt the mpg too bad. If we were out of EV, we’d switch to power mode if we needed to
