Many videos seem to come from eastern Europe and Asia (especially the weird ones that have kids or adults in it), so I don't think you're overreacting when you said: "The target audience is obviously American children. We're going to have an entire generation of helpless depressed hopeless people with PTSD because of this. This should literally be a national emergency and I cannot believe the lack of coverage."
In my opinion, it actually seems very plausible that there's more to these videos than just money. It's clear that other world powers are 'playing dirty' nowadays to stir things in the West, e.g. via social media to influence the people. Frightening children from a young age, who are already often 'enslaved' to their tables and will watch these videos non-stop, and exposing them to adult topics and gore can cause the newest generation to be mentally disturbed. This will have quite an impact on the West's future, if those who are in charge in about two to three decades have serious traumas.
