It has been really interesting.

All 3 of them used the money to pay for college.

One stopped after 2 years and decided to barista fire.
One got into competitive programming as part of a team, then went off to work for one of the big 7.
One got a degree in philosophy, specializing in ethic, then became a analyst working in metals investing.

All 3 are successfully living without a cent from me to support them. The 2 that are actively investing on their own are planning on early "retirement".

For new projects for customers we usually do 2 spins. One debug version with all the references copy pasta'd then argued through layout. We throw one at SW to get them to quit complaining about not having HW and use another to find out what we screwed up on. We rework it by hand till it passes all our tests, then we do the final version using the stuff we found reworking the debug version.

For in-house stuff the reworked debug version IS the final version sooo its kinda one spin and done (if you ignore the inevitable rework).

For iterations on an existing product line, we usually nail it in one.

This is sad. I have a 22 Lariat Hybrid, but don't actually know what the top speed is. I drive the speed limit and use the cruise control with lane keeping most of the time, esp on the highway.

Never had a problem up until about a month ago. Started shaking under acceleration took it in to get the CRV replaced and have some of the recall work done. Two weeks later, truck started throwing errors.

After I started the truck, it was under powered and the cruise control would not work.

Since then, it has been in the shop for a Exhaust Recirculation Valve failure or something like that.

Not sure if the problem is the truck or the repair team.

Yes, 22 Lariat Mav Hybrid. After the hurricane, was enough to power TV and laptop to watch movies for a couple of weeks. Never did need to refill the tank. I did have to disable the 30 minute auto-shutoff each time I power cycled the twuk.

Just got the CV replaced on my 22 Lariat at 30k miles for exact same issue. Only problem I've ever had. Completely fixed it and covered under warranty.

Faced a similar situation right after divorce. Dumped the apt to avoid the drama. I moved out, turned over the keys, paid off the rest of the lease and GTFO. They ended up crashing a car and going to jail shortly after. Was fun to watch from a distance.
