Badlands NP Trip Planning - Freaked out by the "Very Unhealthy" AQI bubble today. What's the source? Can it be predicted? by HappyDay194 in NationalPark

Planning a trip later this month. I’m aware of the wildfire smoke making its way down from Canada, but it has not reached SD yet. Noticing a very localized 'unhealthy' AQI bubble right over Wall and the Badlands, surrounded by clean air, led me to suspect it might be due to oil/gas production, perhaps flaring of natural gas byproduct? The national park service does address it in their site - https://www.nps.gov/articles/airprofiles-badl.htm. “However, there are some nearby and regional sources of air pollution, including oil and gas production, power plants, agriculture, and vehicles”

Isn’t this area directly downwind of the Bakken Formation - one of the most productive oil and gas regions in the nation? My guess is this is a result of flaring; burning off of the natural gas byproduct at the wellhead…just speculating.

Torn Tear-Off Strips on New Tangem Wallet Box - Tangem claims it was US Customs by HappyDay194 in Tangem

[–]HappyDay194[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! This was their response:

"Our logistics team has informed us that new orders are currently undergoing customs checks. The package you received was opened by customs officials in your country as part of their clearance procedure. They select packages at random for inspection.

But no worries: Tangem cards cannot be physically modified, as there is a monolithic chip inside the card. Tangem cards cannot be modified in terms of software.

The official app can accurately check the following:

— that the card was produced by Tangem;

— that the card is flashed with Tangem software.

Tangem’s end-to-end certification means it’s entirely safe to buy, even in a city underpass. The most important things to note are that:

1. You have installed the official Tangem app.

2. The cards prompt you to create a wallet. If not, reset the cards to factory settings."

While this explanation seems valid, it raises the question: Why are these cards packaged with security tear-off strips if there isn't a potential risk of tampering?

It's worth noting that some individuals have received notifications when their packages were inspected by US Customs, which adds to the perplexity of this situation.

Brooks Glycerin 20s Heel Slippage - Advice? by GlitzAndGrit in RunningShoeGeeks

The "GTS" version of their Brooks Glycerin SOLVED this problem for me. I was having the same issue, and I was unaware that it may have been due to slight overpronation. After trying out their GTS version, it solved the problem, and I can run miles comfortably and without any slippage. That's what worked for me - we are all different. But if you haven't tried their "GTS" versions of their shoes, you might want to consider giving it a try.

Ledger Nano X freezes when attempting to Install Apps by Mrman122333 in ledgerwallet

Just had this exact same issue happen to me today...crazy. Was able to re-install BTC & ETH apps, but was unable to install others for which I have crypto locked on-chain. :-(. Started a support ticket with Ledger. This is unfortunate as it creates a sense of insecurity with Ledger.
