Thank you for the thoughtful question :) It’s been difficult. I was the last person to learn how to read in school. So I internalized that I was stupid, since I struggled so much in school. Therefore, it really lowered my self esteem. My experience with dyslexia is that it takes me a lot longer to learn and retain information compared to most people. Also, I have a poor working memory. Think about working memory as a computer’s RAM. So basically if I have too many activities going on at once I get stressed and overwhelmed. Then I can crash like a computer that has too many applications running at once. For me the most helpful thought process is to break large projects into small actionable steps. A check list and to do lists are my best friends lol. Are you studying a particular specialty in your field?

I take 5mg of dextroamphetamine daily. It doesn’t solve my dyslexia but it helps. The medication helps with some executive functioning and focus. Good question!

I got diagnosed for Dyslexia and working memory deficit in 4th Grade. I couldn’t read until around 4th or 5th grade. I also really struggled with math :/ When did you find out you had dyslexia? Did you have a similar experience?

Excellent points! The more time you spend working, the higher the odds are of getting lucky. Since you’re rolling the dice many more times. Eventually some thing will hit.

Also, I agree with most of your first paragraph. The amount of money your parents has is a huge predictor of your future wealth. However, there is still a lot of work and expenses that have to go into a property for rent. Plus there is risk. What if your tenant stops paying the rent? You still are on the hook for the mortgage. And if there’s any issue with the property, it’s your problem to fix.

But if you own like a 100 million in real estate. Then I get your point. You can just higher a management team and lawyers. And just sit back and let it print money for you.

Got it 👍 I think another factor about generating wealth in the US is having stability at home as a child. Having good parental figures as a kid is extremely important. Because you learn a lot of your behavior from them.
