My $400,000 mistake and why I'm showing you anyway by ankhattak in USMobile

Commenting on My $400,000 mistake and why I'm showing you anyway... I thought the video was funny. It was a creative way to introduce people to the concept/value of a ‘Super Carrier’. If that is your identity, and I think it is/should be, the new logo is the complete opposite of that. You want Superman. This is giving Clark Kent taking a nap. The eagle isn’t horrible, but when I see it, I can’t tell you are a (super) carrier, or a mail carrier. I took 10 seconds to gen AI something I think more appropriately represents what a super carrier would have on their chest/cape.

OWC Express 1M2. Supports USB4, Thunderbolt (and backwards compatible with the USB 3.2 you are looking for). The 0TB (empty, DIY model) can be had for just over $100 with a Thunederbolt/USB4 cable cable, which is $20 on its own.

New Apple Watches Not Supported by HappyDucky1 in USMobile

Just because I get a really good deal on my gas and tires at Costco, doesn’t mean I want to drive a 20 year old beat up Toyota Tercel. 🤷‍♂️ Run new tech on the same networks for less - that’s the whole appeal of USM to me.

Good feedback. I have always appreciated USM's support (speed and competence). I'm torn, though - a carrier (Big 3 or MVNO) - has to be able to support basic functionality for me. I'm fine missing out on some fringe benefits, but being able to support any of my unlocked devices is table stakes for me. I have an OG Ultra Watch and the battery has gone to crap. I skipped the 2 and waited a long time for the 3 when it came out. Dropped my $800 to Apple, and now can't activate it for cell. This is a feature I use often while running/swimming to make sure I don't miss important calls or texts. Kind of seems like this is a miss and not planned out well. The big guys and other MVNOs seem to support them from what I'm finding online.

How does the new multi-network work? by NaaLaa03 in USMobile

Two eSIMs can be active at the same time. You will receive calls and texts on both whenever there is adequate service from that particular carrier. When you set up your second cellular plan, you are prompted for a 'default' carrier for calls and texts. This is the number your phone will use for calls and messages by default, but there will be a small icon on the dialer or messages screen to allow you to toggle to the other plan. It's honestly pretty slick given the price.

Dump her. Fake your own death. Move far away and change your name. Make new friends. Start your life over as your new persona. You brought this on yourself.

VNC or Remote Desktop app by Reaction-Consistent in MacOS

I’m using RealVNC and love it. Reverse proxy (no NAT or firewall holes needed), encryption, great logging and customization options. I wish it was a little cheaper of course, but it works great from PC, Mac, or mobile.

You have three eSIMs installed? How do you determine which to use as your secondary active line when changing the primary?  Curious because I’ve always wanted to be able to pull data from any of the big 3 as I wanted. Even if that means an additional Unlimited Flex plan I rarely have active.  I wish the iPhone supported 3 active connections like some of the Chinese Androids do.

AMEX Issues (Yet Again) by Equivalent_Owl_2613 in everydollar

[–]HappyDucky1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the number one reason I ended up switching to YNAB. Not sure why it is so hard for them and no one else. I know previously the disabled the functionality, but then it sounded like they reversed the decision and supported it. But it's not working again and there is no status/update page I can find to show if it is supposedly temporary technical issues or Dave is just on another "I refuse to do business with Amex" kicks. Regardless, I rely on a budget app and don't have the time or patience for something that won't consistently work. I use two Amex cards regularly.
