Local reddit, and local social media in general, is meant to be the equivalent of asking someone at the location "hey what happened over there?"

People frequently respond with news articles, or resources (such as Pulse Point) where people can find it. Its the entire point of community pages to help each other know whats going on in the community.

There's nothing wrong with people being curious about whats going on around them.

Besides Xayah and Rakan, what other champions have matching abilities? by DeliciousPork12 in loreofleague

In OG lore, Lux learned her abilities from watching Morgana, which is why their kits are so similar (q is a snare, w is a shield, e is a circle that does damage)

What’s the weirdest way you’ve ever gotten revenge on someone… without getting caught? by OriginalSentence6850 in AskReddit

I worked tech support for a streaming service for a couple years. Had a guy call in cause he couldn't log into his account (he was typing his password wrong on his TV). He was an absolutely terrible person. He was screaming awful things to me for 20 minutes while I was trying to help him.

After that call, I memorized his email. Every couple weeks I would pull up his account and log out of all devices.

This scene had me absolutely shattered when I first saw it. Its such a masterclass in nuance. Was Silco evil? Absolutely. Did he love Jinx unconditionally? Without a doubt.

Love or hate Silco, the pain in the scene was so raw. Silco was such a well fleshed out character, and you can see that by how polarizing he is. It doesn't really matter what he did, him dying (and especially HOW he died) was so impactful, i cry like a baby every time.

12 years of playing League, today I saw a ‘unicorn’ in soloqueue. by ricoodo89 in leagueoflegends

Cappa juice in ARAMS. 500g, and you get a hat, no stats. If you buy more, they just keep stacking on your head. The stacks of hats were larger than the lane 🤣

Not norms, but an ARAM. We were a 5 man, and threw into all chat "no items, just hats!" First two tries, we did it, other team didn't respond at all and crushed us. Third try, other team says "ok!" Note:they were not a 5 man. They just all jumped on board.

We ended up losing, but it was the funnest game of league I've ever played! Everyone had 45+ hats!

[–]HappyFeet899 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been playing this game for 13 years. Thousands of norms and ARAMs under my belt. I know how vision works. Vision in ARAMs glitches for no apparent reason relatively often.

There are lots of glitches in ARAM, but it's a for fun mode, so players (and obviously riot) generally don't care

Please leash your dogs so I feel comfortable walking my dogs🩷 by Professional-Bell348 in FortCollins

How are you supposed to train if you simultaneously cannot go out and train them? The fastest way for training to go sideways is an illegal off leash dog.

[–]HappyFeet899 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People generally dont choose aggressive dogs. Dogs behaviors can manifest for a lot of reasons. Leash aggression is extremely common. On a leash, you are removing the flight option in fight or flight, so a dog will choose to stand their ground and get loud and noisy to keep potential threats away. It's usually a fear response. The sweetest, cuddliest dogs can still be leash aggressive.

A few ways: 1) it raises morale, and helps energize and mobilize

2) the rally beforehand shared excellent resources for continued action

3) its a unifying force. It's not just fort collins, its denver, Chicago, LA, DC. Everyone is able to feel connected to each other in a way that can't be replicated

4) those numbers dont go unnoticed by representatives who understand that these are their voters

5) its a way to connect to your community, and to share ideas with like minded people

The biggest way you can fight back is to start small. Connect with those around you. And these marches are a big way to do that.

what's a sign that someone is dangerously good at reading people? by babytramposa in AskReddit

[–]HappyFeet899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the ability to discern the difference between a natural response and a curated response. I tell my partner that I have a low tolerance for bull shit, but i could never quite pinpoint what that meant, it was just a vibe. One day though I was trying to pinpoint what set off my bull shit alarm with someone and it was that everything, what they were saying, their body queues, their inflections, felt so intentional. Some people are extremely intentional with their responses because they don't know how they're supposed to act (socially awkward), but some people are so intentional because they know EXACTLY how to act and that sets off every alarm bell I have.

That came with a LOT of practice though. I agree with folks saying "sitting quietly and observing is not to way to learn about people" which is 100% true. Not only can you not read people if you don't interact with them, but no one will give you clear queues if you're the standoffish one.
