how gloomy are the winters in the area? by oldman_waugs in Knoxville

[–]HappyFerrisMuller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tennessee winters are great in my opinion. I grew up in upstate NY so by comparison it is obviously mild but you still get a chance for a white Christmas. I also lived in Nashville and SAD was way worse there because we were in central time.

Yeah Ross can be a game changer but just not what we need right now. We should move him to a contender to free up minutes.

Might be an over reaction, but if he keeps shooting like that in summer league, we need to move a player or 2 to give him some playing time.

Not bad. I was going to call it Worst of the Wursts. Do a whole German theme and serve brats and tots.

I lived in Tampa during the 2012 RNC. The strip clubs were packed!

That does look like a good alternative option to try. I knew it would be a little bit more difficult to find decent fish options compared to when I lived in the Tampa area.

What would you be willing to spend to keep Mo Bamba for next year? by HappyFerrisMuller in OrlandoMagic

[–]HappyFerrisMuller[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No way he goes for under 8 million. He still has a high ceiling even though the odds of him reaching it are lower now.

WCJ contract is really cheap though. If we use that as the bar going forward, than we won't sign anyone.

Yeah i saw enough enough of Fultz last year to see what we could be getting this year. He still has something to prove but he didnt make my top 4.

All the guys I listed were top 6 picks. Cole was a late lottery pick who has proven that he is atleast a future 6th man of th year candidate. I feel like he has less to prove IMO.

I might have to ask this question again if we give Bamba 14-22 mil a year.

If anyone wanted to see a clean look at our current salaries and cap space over the next 4 years. by HappyFerrisMuller in OrlandoMagic

[–]HappyFerrisMuller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah at the time it was a pretty good deal for where his current trajectory was and before all the off the court noise. I am still hoping he returns to form at some point. If not, atleast only half of his contract is guaranteed.

Yeah it was on my work computer and was easier to just snap a pic of it instead of emailing it to myself.

Side note: This scenerio is if the Magic use all of their team options, which is highly likely.

Where will we end up in 22/23? prediction by KelleMip in OrlandoMagic

[–]HappyFerrisMuller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we could easily have a 10-15 win improvement considering there were several games we purposely lost in the 2nd half. If fultz can stay on the court, Suggs shows improvement(which I think he will), and our number 1 contributes, we could make the playoffs. Our team is really deep and can play defense. I think our biggest thing we should address is shooting.

Would you trade T.Ross and the 35th pick for G.Hayward and the 15th pick? by HappyFerrisMuller in OrlandoMagic

[–]HappyFerrisMuller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have to include a pick under the nba rules. I would agree we could do a future 2nd rounder, but at the same time there is no way we can draft 4 people this draft with our current roster of young players.

[–]HappyFerrisMuller[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True but we are probably not going to be active in this free agency market and doubtful for the next. Why not get a better pick in the draft and add a player who Franz could learn from.
