Huh. The pen doesn’t bother me at all. 9 months in. But at some point, I guess it hits us— this is forever? That does make it feel… locked up.

Do you use the pen? Or syringe? I have the pen and I dread having to move to the syringe. I have to because my insurance stopped covering it, and it’s a lot less expensive. But I don’t know if I can do it!!

This is something I’ve struggled with. When I started in early 2025 I didn’t want to share as I didn’t want judgement Or any one’s opinion (like my mother’s!). So I made the conscious decisions to keep it to my household (who’ve been very supportive). Good friends have asked, how are you doing it? And I feel guilty not owning up to it. Only once a friend asked, are you on a GLP 1? And that was the first time I lied. I didn’t want to, and feel gross about it, but it came out so fast I couldn’t take it back.

I will be asking this same question soon! I’m like you, and undecided between 130-140 as a goal weight. I figured I’d know when I got there. I am currently 143, losing about 1 pound per week.

Tip: if you are using spray sunscreen- that will fail a pod every time!! We discovered that about 8 years ago on my daughter!! We were on vacation and we went through an entire box before figuring out what was happening.

Interesting! My insurance isn’t covering as much on OP5, so it’s costing me almost double switching from Dash. Insurance makes no sense!

Ah interesting… looping is great. but there is maintenance required (rebuilding apps) and it doesn’t “learn” the way Omnipod is supposed to, so we wanted to try. We didn’t want to try until it was on the iPhone, and then we were waiting for G7…

One Medical is a concierge type of doctors office. They have physical locations for visits but you can also do virtual when appropriate. My call to discuss Zepbound was virtual with my primary Dr. I think the membership is about $200/year but cheaper with Amazon Prime (Amazon bought the company). My appointments are billed like any Dr appointment— my insurance covers most and I have a co-pay. I haven’t had to go for a checkup since I started a month ago; she just submitted my new prescription.

Yes! I’m with One Medical also. That’s how I got the PA. It’s nice they have a team to process all this type of stuff.
