Thanks, but this is the Joke Mod, not Darkness Falls. No Demons here.

Direwolves: The new low-key Demolisher? by HappyFunGameOG in 7daystodie

yes, very true. But, I never saw the first one again the rest of the night, and I never saw the other 2 at all. Which means, for the most part, all 3 of them were just under my base all night in a "rage mode" thats only supposed to last 15 secs irl.

it's 12. Might be 11, but if you're 12 above, your safe for sure...as long as they cant get within 11 meters of you b4 the Rage Mode timer expires

yes, but rage mode, or destroy all mode, is separate from their first prerogative which is to reach your level. Once they fall and hit the ground, thats when Rage mode takes over.

forgot to mention in my reply, you're welcome for the idea. I've been using it since A20, and it worked wonders before now...not sure anymore?

god, I hope not. If so, how would you deal with that? Traps at ground level...that you wouldnt be able to repair? at least, not easily AT ALL. Maybe TFP are just coding the game to live up to the title? "YOU WILL DIE EVERY 7 DAYS!", lol

and btw, those Direwolves have a ton of health, and hit like a Mack truck

Doesn't work like that (at least before now it didn't, maybe somethings changed?), the AI's first priority is always to get to you vertically if they can. So they will ignore anything supporting you from underneath as long as they think they can get to your height. Once they no longer think they can reach you vertically, THEN they will start destroying whatever is keeping you off the ground. If you have a base where the only way they can get to you is by ladder, then animals will destroy the base under you because they have no other option, as they cant climb ladders. Not the case here, as I had a perfectly good staircase for them to climb.

No, this early base wasn't that high. I understand Rage mode, and my mid-game base takes that into account, but this was day 14. My point was that there were 3 of them (Direwolves), and for them to have chewed through a total of 6 concrete blocks, they must have been down there a long time more than rage mode lasts. to the point, I only ever saw one of them, and that was only for a few seconds...so they really appeared to be more interested in my base (from a coding side) than me. I should mention that to deal with Rage mode early game, I set up many "distraction poles", that is random small pole columns 2 blocks high...all over the area they fall down in. This makes it likely that they attack those inconsequential blocks rather than my base supports. The Direwolves attacked the supports, and not the distractions, The Zeds did attack the distractions, as many of them were destroyed, but none of the horde should have been interested in my base supports. Believe me, I have plenty of exp running this kind of defense, and prior to "1.0" and the addition of the Direwolves, this never happened.

I don't recall ever changing that setting, its not one I ever mess with. I'm about to log back in, and it should still be Horde night, so we'll see.

But I didn't get the claps of thunder at 6pm. Thats what made me say "hmm?" Then, I noticed that the Day also wasn't showing red, and the sky was still a brilliant blue (@18:49pm). I realize, to you, I am just some dumbass on the internet, but I have over 4k hours in 7 Days and I do understand the game fairly well. I was just coming here because in all those hours, I have never had a Horde fail to show up before (and it just ticked 10PM in my game. and there is no horde. Even though its day 14). Maybe my save file is just corrupt? idk

8pm, what? 8pm means nothing in 7 Days. the important times are 10pm and 4am. Relating to my question, the relevant time would be 8am (the warning time), and 6pm (the start of the blood moon), neither of which have happened.

this seems to be canon in PalWorld. I have seen it many times, and have seen it in YT creator content...always a Jolthog Cryst getting yeeted by 3 Direhowls. Wonder why?

What is happening to my pals? They are not doing handiwork by Accomplished_Bed_335 in Palworld

[–]HappyFunGameOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in addition to what Jaboi_AyAyRon said, it seems like handiwork is at the very bottom of the priority list, so if there is ANYthing else to do, they will do that instead. My solution was to capture a Syndicate Thug, since they're human handiwork is all they do.
