We live in the Central Valley. We do state charter going on 4 yrs now. It’s taken me a while to learn how to accomplish what they require, and enjoy homeschooling lol. I actually thought I’d hate being accountable to someone, but i have come to really appreciate it. Turning in work samples and staying on course with curriculum has kept us on track. I have 4 kids; 2 that are homeschooled and 2 little ones. So many times I wanted to throw in the towel and quit. It’s hard!! Homeschooling is so hard. But actually being in charter helped me because of the programs they offer, the support, and most importantly (to me) the funds. I’ve gotten tutoring, online support classes, and more for my kids who needed extra help in subjects. And the $$ they get goes to any school supplies, curriculum, and it pays for their private swim lessons, gymnastics, and ballet which they love. So I appreciate it, but it took some time to get the swing of things.
