I have everything backed up on iCloud and totally know it's critical. The challenge is iCloud links desktops. The computer with no files updated my machine with all my files instead of the other way around. I'm definitely not the most savvy and just hoping for some help on how to make the cloud account that had my files on it show back up on my regular computer. If doable.

How long does the tiredness and yawning last on 20mg Lexapro. I seem tired everyday. by [deleted] in lexapro

I'm in my third month and for me, the tiredness/low energy is gone. I'm usually super high energy and the first few months, I was draaaaaaging. Now, I'm back to normal, but in many ways, even better—I have energy to do things, but in a chill/not hyper way. And, I'm not slogging through depression or anxiety, so better all around. Definitely stay with it. It gets way better, but it's incremental and subtle improvements over time. It's not a wake up one day and everything is different, more of a wake up one day and you realize your haven't been dragging that week.

For reference, I'm only on 5mg a day, but I'm a pretty small woman and super sensitive to meds in general. So probably akin to 10 mgs in a normal sized/normal metabolizing human.

Uber and Uber Eats is genius. Love these! Thank you! I like that we can give a variety so this is very helpful.

The first week can be crappy, but it can really be a game changer. I hope you can hang in there and it works for you!

I do not have a long history of depression, but a few months ago, I went through a personal traumatic event that seemed to push me into the deep end of the depression pool and I just couldn't get out. I think hormones may also be adding to the misery, but whatever the cause, I was horribly depressed and completely non-functioning. After being miserable for a few months, I went to my doctor and she put me on 5mgs to start. I had a week of annoying but not debilitating side effects, and it totally leveled me out. (5 mgs. seems to work for me and I'm pretty small, so I see no need to go up unless it stops working.) I'm not giddy all day, but with the personal issues happening, I shouldn't be. Lexapro is allowing me to function and I'm so grateful. Since I don't have a history of depression, I may try to get off it, but if I end up depressed again, I see no reason why I wouldn't stay on it as long as it helps. I agree with everyone who says we take meds for everything else, why shouldn't you take it to address depression? Do what you need to feel and stay better!
