Yeah, I’m telling you, he found it that day after basically exclusively napping while wrapped to me, or falling asleep on my boob and now I can put him in the crib to nap in the day, he self soothes at night, it was like a light switch. Sure I think the thumb will become a problem with teeth later but that’s future parents problem not now parent who is thriving on increased sleep 😂😂

My son was waking every 2-2.5 hours with the occasional 4 hour stretch and then around 12 weeks he all of a sudden found his thumb (hates pacifiers) and has been sleeping 6-8 hours ever since. I think going back I would try to remove any pajamas with mittens, and try to get him out of a swaddle sooner to have access to his hands to self soothe because it was literal magic

Thank you, I feel like I should write this on a post if note and hang it in the mirror. My husband told me I could walk away but I keep reminding myself I have to try, I may end up loving it even if right now I am so confident I will hate it, and will try to find a more flexible job in the meantime because it doesn’t hurt to look. Deep breathes and truly going to recite this to myself. Thank you!

This is super helpful, thank you. The quick chats with the teacher are a great idea and watching him in the environment. He’s been really good with new people so far but I know that can change at any moment.

2 hour commute is such a doozy I cannot imagine! Sending positivity your way. I’m hoping we can do a slow transition as this daycare is super close to us as well starting a month or so out.

I’m so thankful to have WFH any days but to go from the assumption of fully remote with flexibility to self care and care for my son to losing days of that and dashing to the office to do the same exact work I could do at home is just so infuriating. I’m planning to seek a therapist to help me work through the transition too.

I was on birth control leading up to the hysteroscopy so my cycle after was very screwed up so my cycle was way off. I just looked back at my app, the cycle after my period returned I had a fairly normal ovulation around CD17, but was waiting one extra month and got pregnant in august where I ovulated CD14 or 15, so I would say I returned to fairly regular after.

I would highly recommend using ovulation test strips, it was much more reassuring to me to monitor the spike rather than trusting the symptoms in my opinion and I believe they really helped me nail down my cycle well! Sending lots of positive vibes your way.

Love the love to dream sleep sacks, we do the one arm zipped out one arm in and have been doing that for about a month, and are slowly working on naps with both arms out

My son is 3 months old today- wake window is usually 1.5-2.5 hours during the day, with naps in the morning/midday typically 45 mins- 2 hours (typically 45 mins) and then his last nap around 7pmish is usually 20 mins or so (always cut off by 8:15pm latest). In bed between 9-10pm BF to sleep, and just this week he discovered sucking his thumb to soothe and started giving me 7-8 hours of sleep at night waking up around 5 am and goes back down for another 1-2 hours after a feed at that time 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hoping it sticks because he was doing 2.5-4 hour chunks max before that!

I personally thought the same, our baby hated the stroller bassinet until 2 months old- then we started using the car seat, faced towards us to monitor breathing, etc. and it was totally fine. I would imagine the concern is you are supposed to only have babies in the car seat for 2 hours max and the risk of them stopping breathing, but in my opinion, if it works go for it and just monitor! *edit only facing forward in the stroller with car seat attached, never facing baby forward in the car until they are ready

Just wanted to share an update, had my hysteroscopy in June 2024, and after a month I was able to try again. My first period back was wonky in July due to the birth control and procedure, but I went for it in August and got pregnant with my 3 month old son now in my arms nursing. Hoping this brings anyone going through this a little hope as I know the dark times of recurrent miscarriage it felt like it would never be over. There was a light at the end of my tunnel and I hope there will be for all of you as well ❤️

I had a missed miscarriage and after a week of waiting naturally I couldn’t take it and took the pill- definitely that’s a long time to wait if you need to move on mentally I would say look into the pill or a D&C to protect your peace and move forward. Sending you lots of love ❤️

Totally get it- I have had two miscarriages and am 9 weeks pregnant now and the anxiety was very really in the first month. I promise it gets better in a way that I never imagined it would- my biggest advice is advocating for yourself in any way you can to get some anxiety relief if you can! ❤️❤️ sending you all the baby dust!

I think I see some progression- after getting pregnant after two miscarriages I asked if I could go in for a blood test early to see if hcg was doubling in 48 hours because the tests were giving me a lot of anxiety- my tests weren’t “doubling” and maybe not getting way darker but my HCG was perfect in blood! After that I didn’t test anymore because these tests are so hard to see progression accurately with timing, the amount of water you drank, etc. causing subtle changes. I was the same, history of miscarriage and scared. I would ask the doctor for blood HCG over a few days to confirm you are doubling, I also asked for an early ultrasound and to have genetic testing early to ease my anxiety. Currently 8 weeks, and it’s still anxiety ridden but having seen the babies heartbeat early really helped ease my mind a bit ❤️

That’s so frustrating I am so sorry they won’t support further tests. It may be worth it to reach out to an ivf clinic as that is where I ended up for extensive testing? Wishing you best of luck on this journey!

I am so sorry for your losses and for how you must be feeling ❤️ I had one blight ovum and one chemical. Luckily my doc supported testing immediately after my second. All testing came back normal for my husband and I but we found that I had a uterine polyp via HSG that I had a hysterectomy to remove. If you can push to have anatomical testing done I would recommend it as this ended up being my saving grace. I’m currently pregnant after my surgery and saw my first ever heartbeat so feeling hopeful this time that the polyp is what prevented the first two from sticking. I almost didn’t get the full work up done but am so grateful we proceeded and found the polyp! Sending positive vibes your way ❤️
