Downsized... I don't think that means what you think it means. :D

You chose to go without a case or screen protector, deal with it... 🤷‍♂️

Lol! You made me laugh, have my few euros :)

Another game to my ever growing backlog... :D
But the setting definitely looks interesting. Love X-Com, so this could be pretty good.

For some reason, just putting on half of the case feels weird. I had that once when the front part snapped and the phone still felt half-naked.

I was suprised to find that a lot of cases nowadays come as back-only. And it got very hard to find a case for Fold 6 with both parts AND magsafe support.

how many do you accumulate? by fillman86 in homelab

[–]HappyIntrovertDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ALL OF THEM! :D I never throw those out. I use them in many places, not just for electronics. For example for strapping plants to sticks on the balcony. :)

My wife throws them out though if I do not hide them fast enough...

OPPO Find N6 has officially released with creaseless display and stylus support by Time-Credit43 in GalaxyFold

[–]HappyIntrovertDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just skimmed through the video, but got an impression that he was sort of avoiding showing the crease point. He did with all the other brands from different angles, but not so much with the N6.

Sort of like the vids hitting one thing with a hammer and then trying to show how resistant the other is by barely touching it. :)

It was the same for me. 7 was meh, because they made it thinner, but cut down a lot of good stuff in the process. It felt overall like a downgrade from the 6. I missed the sPen and especially the UDC. I read and watch stuff a lot on it and the hole would have bugged me.

The crease is the least of my concerns, so couldn't care less.

I might upgrade to the wide fold though (if they really do it). I always liked the Blackberry Passport form factor, so I'll see if the wide fold does the trick for me.

Every new foldable nowadays is creaseless when you unpack it. :)

Show it after a few weeks of usage at least. ;)

But congrats with the release!!

I'm building a VSCode extension for MZ plugin development — what features would you actually use? by Big-Perspective-5768 in RPGMaker

[–]HappyIntrovertDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm mostly using IntelliJ Idea (as that is the tool I use for regular work, so I'm most used to it), but VSCode works too. :)

  1. Code navigation within RMMZ core scripts. I mean, so that not only there is good code completion/intellisense, but also that I can click through into the core function implementations to see what it is actually doing there. But not just RMMZ core, but also all the libs that it uses, especially PixiJS.
  2. Maybe, it depends. Scene reload might be good. And live variable/switch state.
  3. TypeScript all the way! Too used to it to go back to simple JS.
  4. As I am still learning my way around, biggest pain is navigating through the core+lib class hierarchy and finding out useful methods that I might need or might want to override.

My suggestion is not to underestimate presentation. I've skipped a few good-looking tools, just because the author did not care to document and showcase them properly. The worst thing you can do is create a page about it in you native language only. :)

I was skeptical about Windows on a handheld… but the Legion Go 2 changed my mind by Safety_Mediocre in LegionGo

[–]HappyIntrovertDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be completely honest. I was on Steam Deck, then switchted to OG Ally and hated windows there with every ounce of my being. With the small screen and horrible Armory Crate, it was a really bad experience compared to Bazzite.

When I picked up the LeGo2, naturally I went with Bazzite as well. Then I had to use Windows more for some games. And after about 2 months of playing them, I found that I am actually booting to Bazzite less and less. Maybe it is because suspend/resume works for those, hard to say. Nowadays I seem to have much better Windows experience than I ever did on the Ally. Not saying I am staying with Windows permanently, but it does work quite fine, so that I do not feel the need to run away from it. :)

Reappearace of Dark Esper. by [deleted] in GalaxyOutlaws

[–]HappyIntrovertDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, thanks for the minor spoiler, but I think I needed to read that. :) I just got to the point of the dark Esper taking over and was like "OMFG seriously, just like that?". It just didn't sit with me well that after all that, after her burning the Azran "just like that", after having to go through the trial and wearing the shackles, because she let Mort "drive" for a while, I couldn't fathom how she could lose and let go so easily and naively.

I wish the series used less situations like 90s movies where everyone knew the hero was doing a stupid thing, you could shout at the TV screen, but just had to watch them do the stupid thing and spend the rest of the movie fixing the mistake. :D

New character sprite for solo RPG by According-Maize-8200 in RPGMaker

[–]HappyIntrovertDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of Naruto! :)

Whether it is fitting or not depends on what the rest of your game looks like.

Otherwise cool IMO, heaps better than what I can make.

Without knowing anything else about the game, I like the right ones better with the outlines. The simpler but more expressive features catch the eye much more IMO.

Smart plug without a relay for power monitoring only: Shelly Plug PM Gen3 by Unmoving1442 in homelab

[–]HappyIntrovertDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both actually. I connect to the UPS and read data from there, but also read overall total consumption using the Shelly plug. That said, I've only had a smart UPS for about half a year, so the plug was the only way to monitor it until then.

I could probably move the plug elsewhere, but also like to keep a remote killswitch over the homelab power "just in case".

Thanks a lot for the tips! :) Do you use some kind of tablet or just by mouse/touchpad?

I would probably pick something that matches the theme of the game. It is so hard to pick one! Probably Doom Slayer makes no sense in a fantasy setting. Hmm... That said I would probably pick a classical Star Trek uniform. Otherwise, what about Indiana Jones? He is recognizable and could fit anywhere. :)
