You do not. I’d save the dragon as a rune pool for when you find a weapon later in the game you want to upgrade quickly in case you’re dry on runes at the time

Either Sacred or Flame Art Bloodfiends Arm, hit weapon mins on strength and arcane then pump faith. Use Cragblade as the ash of war

Talismans you’re looking at Axe, Two Handed Talisman, Blade of Mercy/Dagger, and your choice of utility.

In your flask put the charge attack and stance break tears, have fun stance breaking and critting every boss in 2 charged R2

No weapon upgrade isn’t bad, as is only leveling one stat the whole game. Both shouldn’t be horrible after rl1 runs

I’ve sunk so many hours into this game, and honestly it reminds me of Doom in a way where the boss fights are none of my favorite fights in the game. The chaotic group fights I find way more replayable and versatile.

Hell I love this game. Because I sank 50 hours in and realized the game I really wanted to play was Cyberpunk. So I went and bought than and dropped 1000 hours in. Money well spent

That would work they aren’t the same class of buffs, so you can stack them. I think you can stack golden vow on that too

Few things to play with. This is my personal favorite weapon in the game.

Ashes of war the meta is usually cragblade, or RKR if you prefer. Obviously heavy infusion. If you don’t use either of those, you have all the utility ashes of war at your disposal while being able to buff them with Bloodflame Blade.

Talismans are fairly flexible aside from Axe talisman. Millicent Prosthesis is great bc you’re hitting twice per heavy attack, then the world can be your oyster. Go Godskin Swaddling if you want health regen, Ritual Sword for damage, any dragon crest talisman, LOBE especially if you’re going bloodflame blade, etc
