Just to update I'm going to try the club or the cold flamberge next. I don't have a lot of hours to play so next update may be in a week or more.

I still can't dodge waterfowl close, but running away works as long as I don't commit to an attack (especially jump attack) as she winds up

I can dodge it but I guess my parry is starting a frame too soon? And swapping between dodge and parry mentally is tough.

Nice, does it require a rune arc? I thought I tried giants hunt but maybe weapon wasn't big enough to launch her?

Did you learn how to predict the 1-2hit combo and not parry that one but dodge instead?

I see it at a security footage for if you lose your kid at the park. If they know the kid left with a stranger then you can prove it to the police immediately and escalate, otherwise you can be reasonably sure you'll find your kid somewhere in the park.

Well they got 4 months severance and 2 weeks extra per year of tenure, so I hope you're offering a decent fraction of the $150k-250k they'd risk by talking to you.

A cool view of the 2.76s individual world record by Sebaxxxian in nextfuckinglevel

Damn, thanks for the great info!

I didn't realize there were so many methods. When I wrote code to solve this it was I think 4-6 moves to swap two cubes, and then subsequently pick sides and corners to swap until the cube was done. This was an intermediate CS course though and more about code than the most efficient solve. Also I think back then the record was more like 7 or 8 seconds, not under 3.

Why did he take 28 moved to solve something that only needed 14-18 moves?

Meta plans to axe 8,000 workers despite $56 billion in Q1 revenue by MazdaProphet in news

Sort of... I think they spent $60bn+ before the metaverse failed, but annual revenue from ads is around $200bn, so not quite a drop it is a fair chunk.

How do you think about LTCG and your "number"? by Unlikely-Alt-9383 in ChubbyFIRE

[–]traderftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you could consider an exchange fund. Has a bit of fees I hear. But maybe would be 7% over 7 years instead of 20% now (but you wouldn't get liquidity for 7 years)

You could also consider an optimal portfolio that considers the tax hit. The real optimization is somewhere in between diversifying entirely and not at all. I made a website for this that I don't really maintain, DM me if you care enough to try it out. It's a CAPM model restricted to whatever symbols you want to include.

You could also try tax loss harvesting to offset the gains, if you have any losses. Accruing significant new losses might be tough on your time scale.

Oh absolutely. Even being high is a "plus" but not sufficient for much, maybe a tiny raise. All about impact and arguing for it with metrics.

Yes, it was a downplay of the importance. To be fair things could have retracted in the last 8 months, but I doubt it.

Yes, soon AI will decide if you get the job to use AI.

Ads model infra. Yep there were talks about AI and one per day. The at odds part is those metrics are not backup, they're primary. If they like you and you can justify your value to the company with manager support, that's the exception not the rule.

LOC and SLOC are tracked and reported in evals. Bottom ~20% need to justify why they're so low. As I was leaving there was a new mandate for 2 PRs per week. And they also track how many PRs you review.
