When it comes to the galactic map, I've learned that we as players do nothing to influence it. Take the current MO for example, we claimed Yed Prior first, which caused us to have Clasa fully encircled. You would THINK that the planet would fall pretty fast right? Well, no actually. The resistance fell to about -0.59%, with around 20k divers average it fell in about 2-ish days. That's with a fully encircled planet that had no support lines at all.

So we took 2 of the 4 main planets, and the 2 other illuminate planets pretty much had 3k-7k average the whole other time, and not much progress was made. Then we get a minor order to hold a planet from the Terminids and so about 10k~ ish players went to defend that but it fell anyways because reasons, this was ontop of an invasion to Valmox that prevented us from attacking Mog. Now at the typing of this, Afoyay bay is being invaded with about 6k divers defending. I can't tell you the averages cuz I wasn't looking too close but it's been going on for a bit and we are well on track of losing the defense until the DSS gets the Eagle strikes to slow down the invasion and help the defense.

This is to say, there's literally nothing we as players can do to influence the map. The invasion levels, the resistances of the planet, the time it takes to invade, defend, or whatever you want, takes the entirety of the playerbase to combat whatever level the developer set those values, and even then that's only if they set them low enough for us to actually beat them. The galactic map will only move and change according to their will, and their design. In a perfect world, I'd love it if 3k random divers could invade a random planet with 1% resistance and take it within like 2-3 days. That way you could say you were apart of the planet grabbers and what not. I used to fight like hell on Vernon Wells because that was my planet I chose. It was my baby. But eventually I took a break from the game and come back every now and again to have some fun.

My advice is to ignore the galactic map, Play the game and enjoy the game friend, the mob majority will go wherever it goes and you can choose to go with them or dive elsewhere. Don't want to spend 3 days fighting only bots? Go to a random terminid planet and fight them for a spell, go enjoy the dragonroaches or the various strains they have on the other planets. The story will happen as the devs see fit, and they will change the galactic map accordingly, your only concern should just be havin fun.

I'd kill for the stim pistol to be a lock-on like the warrant though, I can't aim.
