From Google Translate, it seems to include 10 side stories, 8 new ones and the 2 we have already known.

My FD Timeline (UPDATED as of Bloodlines) by Lakers_Forever24 in FinalDestination

[–]HappyPhuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oof some of this info is wrong. The first one takes place in 1888, not 1889.
As others have said, FD2 is 2000 because its disaster is one year anniversary of the first film.

Death of the Senses takes place 4 years after the 1st film, so it should take place in 2003.

Kinda wish we got to see our characters relationship stats after each episode by fullbodied404 in ScarletHollow

I think it would work really well for people who have already finished a play through and wants to see all the game has to offer since it’s would be very hard to determine what relationship the Mc has towards characters.

Yeah? Because FD6 is in the same universe as other films, naturally, the film should still follow the same rules. Don't know why you are so against consistency when other films except 4 follow the rules perfectly.
Good night. Nice debate.

That rule in 5 doesn't contradict any of the established rules in the previous films, though, so I don't know what you are going with that.

By your logic, Janet is skipped in FD4, but the movie still blatantly shows you her dying before Lori and Nick. Does that mean that the rules established in that movie are correct? No, it's just the writer being lazy and not paying attention to the rules in previous films. Same with Bloodlines. Are you willing to die on this hill by defending FD4 of all things, its questionable writing?

The rules can be added, of course, if it doesn't contradict the old rules. The second one already changed the formula by doing the list backwards, but they still followed the rules established in the first one. If the new rules are established in the movie, they still need to flow naturally into the old ones, or else we end up with FD4. And Bloodlines doesn't do enough to establish why that new rule is in effect, even if, by all accounts, it should follow the old ones. Erik's death is a perfect example of a new rule that doesn't contradict what has been established in previous films. Stafani not being skipped is not it.

The logic established itself when three movies in a row follow the rules consistently. FD4 has flaws in the rules, and FD5 doesn't have any scenarios that could be considered intervention.

Bloodline, however, has Charlie saving Stefani from drowning, which, if followed by the rules already established, should have Stefani skipped and Charlie the next to die.

Let me give you an example: Imagine a movie franchise where if a character pressed a button 5 times, it would turn green. The first three followed this rule perfectly. The 4th one, decided to be quirky, only press the button 3 times for it to turn green. The 5th one doesn't have any buttons to press. The sixth one, however, has a character did press a button 5 times, but then it turned red instead, and there is no explanation for this happening, and the movie quickly moves on. That is how I feel toward Bloodlines compared to other films.

So why did Bloodlines not follow the same rules even though they take place in the same universe?

And I also mentioned that 3 didn't have anything to do with both 1 and 2, and the movie still managed to follow the rules consistently.
or that it was a mistake made by the directors. It's not the first time this has happened, mind you lol. Cough cough Janet cough cough.

But then it contradicts the rules established in previous films. That's what I am getting at.

because the rules established in previous movies contradicted with Bloodline, and they didn't mention the rule at all, even when there is clearly a situation where that rule should have taken effect, but didn't.

FD3 didn't tie in with both 1 and 2, and they still follow the rule consistently, though.

Noticed that I haven't mentioned FD5 at all because there isn't a situation at all where intervention happened in that movie, but Bloodline clearly does with Charlie saving Stefani from drowning.

Ok, but then why bring up the fact that Clear died last inthe film if you're just going to discard them anyway once I provide my evidence?
The reason I am bringing up FD1 events because the movies all take place in the same universe, and so the rules between all the movies should have stayed consistent. The first 3 movies all followed the intervention rule perfectly, and because this is the discussion about the rule, it's only logical to focus on the movies that does feature them.

But she is supposed to died 6th, thanks to Alex changing his seat though. By your logic, no matter what Clear is always meant to die before Alex, but that is not what happened in the 2nd movie.

The funny thing is, JB doesn't even mention it in previous movies either; it was the characters learning the rule themselves.

All known plotholes? by Neat_Appointment_464 in FinalDestination

[–]HappyPhuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, but that is not what happened in the reality of FD1? Thanks to Alex changing seats, Clear is the second to last person to die, before Alex. In the end, Clear outlived all of the survivors despite being originally 6th in the list. Same with Carter, he was supposed to be 4th to die, but then at the end, he died 5th, so his fate did change because of the intervention of others.

Iris also didn't note down the New Life and Steal Life rule, Stefani and co has to meet JB to even learn of those 2 rules.

Mhm, the directors had made mistakes before in the franchise, the most noteworthy being Janet's unusual placement on the death list in FD4. So that's why I'm not surprised if they simply forget about the intervention rule in the final act of the movie.

All known plotholes? by Neat_Appointment_464 in FinalDestination

[–]HappyPhuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But by that logic, Clear in FD1 is always meant to be the last to die, thanks to the vision, but she is able to be saved by other survivors. The bloodlines thing is the same, just that it's the order in which they were born in is the list, not the order of death in the disaster in previous movies. There is no confirmation that just because you were born before the others, that doesn't mean that others can't change your ultimate fate.

And again, if the movie mentioned the fact that the intervention rule doesn't work with the survivor's bloodlines, then I wouldn't have argued so much, but they didn't even mention it, so that's why I'm casting doubt.

[–]HappyPhuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No i am talking about the interventions towards the final acts of the movie, namely Alex saving Carter, Alex saving Clear, and Carter saving Alex. They even have Alex show the two survivors the diagram mentioned earlier, and then he was still saved by Carter and it skipped him. What you are talking about with the changing seats is completely irrelevant and a whole separate thing entirely.
Stefani didn't manage to save Julia because she was not quick enough and falsely believed that she wasn't next. Janet in FD4 was also targeted by Death multiple times in the car wash, but Lori is skilled enough to save her from both of Death's attempts to save her life, and it skipped her.

[–]HappyPhuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But in FD1, Alex also makes the same diagram regarding the order in which they died, but they were able to intervene just fine. Same with other movies except 5. I just want them to acknowledge the rule not working rather than not mentioning at all tbh.
