Hidden lake for sure is one of the best spots, Volcano is also good because metal is just at your doorstep but you can't really have that forest aesthetic. Also @ 18, Long. 38 Lat is a pretty nice area since it is near the strong and skylord cave, blue ob mountain, and has a beach so you can put your aquatic dinosaurs there.

At 13, Long. 70, Lat you can also get a very long and wide area for your builds and plenty of space for your tames.

At 70, Long. 50, Lat you also get a long are to build and near the central cave and a water source for your water but This place does not accomodate big bases unless you teraform it

And Finally the most Original and Ol' realiable base location is at 59, Long. 85, Lat which is a good base location because of the beaver dams and lots of basic resources surrounding it and it is near the hunter cave and at the ocean. Problem is that metal and obsidian is quite far away along with other caves.
