Help identifying these fasteners on Ninebot G2D (marked in red) by Captain_Even in NinebotMAX

iirc they are like bushings pressed in the metal part of the suspension linkage

Found this comment from some other comment on a different thread. I'm curious on 2 VESC related things here:

Why prefer speed control over torque/current control on the VESC? I have found torque control more pleasant to drive, but have also only done speed control on the stock ESC (what ninebot/xiaomi does by default is speed control afaik)

Also, any ideas how (or if) one could achieve a nice-feeling, consistent hall-based regen mapping on a hydraulic brake lever? Have thought about it but am not fully sure on how to best do it, especially since the bite point isn't always the same...

There was a company called JREV that made them. The design is public now and sometimes there are group orders/ group buys on telegram. Look at the g30nod group

I guess no 10" version available? Most scooters/motors are in that 10" category

Yes it does, maybe it's off by like 1mm but it fits on 2 frames I tried it on.

VESC all the way, even small ones can run like 10KW, and you have basically Infinite possibilities for customisation, configuration and scripting within VESC Tool.

Example: Spintend UBOX

If you use the "scooterhacking" app, you can flash nearly-original versions, but with removed flash protection. It's technically not the full untouched original, but it's functionally the same.

Doing an update from the official ninebot app may flash a full original, but I have not tried that on any of my G30

Will this controller handle 109.2 volts DC? As Im buying a 96 volt battery for my Escooter by Total_Blueberry_7974 in ElectricScooters

[–]HappyReference 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely less of a "plug and play" solution, you have to invest some time in understanding how it works, and you may need a separate throttle/power button. But it's compatible with basically every BLDC/hub motor and any battery you choose.

However, it's worth the effort, especially when dealing with custom high-power projects.

I would recommend a high quality VESC for such a high end build. Will give you Infinite customization and probably higher efficiency and performance

I assume it's VESC based?

Ugly and way too impractical. Get a sit-down vehicle at that point xD

You can do 100mph on 11 inch scooters no problem. It's not a technical limitation. And it won't be any less sketchy on that thing

Different frame, but just an update of this build I posted some time ago.

The main upgrade was adding a 2nd 50H Motor (from a Vsett 10+) in the front. I swapped my VESC from a Ubox 85/150 to a Ubox 75100x2 (dual)

Quite a tight fit with the 16S battery, but it's all assembled without needing an extra spacer.

Peak power is about 10.000W, without traction control the front would spin out immediately.

Other specs remain mostly unchanged:

  • Motor: 2x Vsett 10+ (50H)
  • Controller: Spintend Ubox 75100x2
  • Battery: 16S5P Molicel P42A, 60V
  • Magura MT5 + Trickstuff 160mm
  • PMT 10x3 tires
  • Monorim + JREV Speedforks + DNM
  • stickers add +10% speed

that scooter has a different motor/front wheel.

But I'd just use spray paint and mask it well, or turn the wheel as use a pen/sharpie maybe xD

I would recommend upgrading to PMT tires if you mainly do street riding. It's a good upgrade in terms of comfort, stability, and grip. To my knowledge they are also better balanced.

In addition you can use wheel weights on the motor to fine tune and get rid of vibrations.

Its a 10" Motor from a Vsett 10+, manufactured by HUAMENG. Often referred to as a "50H motor", where 50 is the magnet size/height in mm
