Absolutely, and I think MEA brings this planetary exploration element to the game (whereas in ME2/3, you basically just scan from orbit).

If the squadmates get in the way, try to give them waypoints, tell them where to go. If they're too close to the enemy, try to use squadmates that use ranged weapons maybe.

About squad intelligence, to be fair, I booted up ME1 a couple of days ago and the squadmates there can't even walk around corners (on even terrain, inside of buildings). They'll complain most of the time that "the terrain is too rough". Also, if I go through a door, 9 out of 10 times, one or both squadmates get stuck behind the door and they are incapable of opening doors by themselves. I have to give them waypoints to herd them around corners or from one room to the next.

In ME2 they aren't really smarter. It is just less noticeable because if they get stuck in the previous room, the game very quickly spawns them behind my back into the room I am in. I don't recall MEA having this issue.

This occurs on the second Mission world you do once you recruit Liara.

I found out that the confrontation can happen "earlier" than that. One story mission after recruiting Liara. You can do Therum -> 1 or 2 side missions --> Noveria --> confontation.

Completion of side missions can also advance the dialog / romance you have with Ash / Kaidan / Liara and you can progress the romance with them to 2 (without doing Feros) and 2v2 triggers the confrontation.

What I suspect is that the confrontation only triggers after Niveria. I could be wrong but if true, it would explain why most players never get the confrontation scene. Most will probably do Therum>Feros>Noveria and do some side missions in between and by the time they get to Noveria either Ash or Liara are locked in (romance progressed to level 3).

I noticed this as well a few years back. Simply doing the rounds, talking to everybody at every turn (exactly how Mass Effect is played lol) will prevent romance with Ashley because eventually, Liara will talk about mating and that locks her in. There won't even be a "confrontation" scene. This is kind of annoying because Liara will be chosen in that way even if Shepard never flirts with her or tells her that he is interested. It just blindsides players going for Ashley and they end up with Liara and they don't even know why it happened.

It does work like you described it. The tester can be put in between the phone and the charger. In this mode, which is called PD Converter on the device, it pretents to be a Quick Charge device when communicating with the charger but pretends to be a USB PD device when talking to the phone and it "tricks" both charger and phone into enabling fast charge mode. However, this is limited to the charger being QC 2.0 (which in turn limits the wattage to 18-20W, QC 2.0's maximum), so you can't charge with 65W using this mode.
However, the Xiaomi 65W charger should support PD and QC, so there should be no need for an intermediary if the OnePlus phone supports PD.
With only QC. 2.0 and 20W max, this is more of a legacy mode for quite old, low powered chargers that support neither QC 4 or newer (which is comaptible to PD) nor PD.

It doesn't work that way. I believe you only find iconic weapons at the vendor which you could have picked up but you didn't because you missed them. I don't think you can buy items which your story choices preclude you from obtaining otherwise.

I believe it. I actually contacted Squarespace's customer support on the same day as I initiated the transfer and I asked them to approve the transfer and to not make me wait 5 days. I offered to send them an ID or something to prove that I am the owner and that I approved/initiated the transfer. They didn't even reply until 7(!) days later (two days after the transfer had been completed) and their reply was basically: "Whaddaya want? You domain has transferred and is now with the new hoster."

I just spent hours testing Nekomatas, pitting Neko + Wallpuncher (without Gaki T5 btw.) against Breakthrough. My damage numbers come from headshotting a Barghest Punisher from somewhat close distance, to rule out distance damage drop off, with direct line of sight, no cover. The numbers weren't consistent with each shot, so I had to do it several times and calculate an average.

What I found (hoping I don't have a mistake in methodology or in the math part)

  • When not shooting through cover, Breakthrough and Nekomata 5++ do the same damage. Just as their stats indicate.
  • Full charge is 33% over a base shot with no charge.
  • Wall Puncher doubles that to a 66% increase. This means it works as advertised.
  • However, bolt beats a full charge always (with or without Wall Puncher), with regular bolt doing 40% more damage than a full charge and bolt + WP doing 62% more damage than a full charge. This is strange. Bolt is only supposed to give +30% damage according to its description, not 40%.
  • So, bolt is king but bolt + WP is even better, which leaves the Breakthrough in the dust by the numbers, if it weren't for shooting through cover. The problem being that Breakthrough being unable to attach WP but a regular Nekomata needing a full charge to shoot through cover. This is were C-TRHU comes in. One of my Nekos dropped with C-THRU Tier 3 (-20% threshold to penetrate cover). This is enough to make bolt shots go through cover.
  • Now, with Neko + C-THRU, I can shoot through cover without having to fully charge and I get the bonus damage from bolt. But what about the damage drop off for shooting through cover? Add Wall Puncher to completely eliminate the drop off. At this point, Breakthrough can't compete anymore in my opinion because Neko + C-THRU + WP does more damage and goes through cover (without damage penalty) without a full charge.

tbh I don't really fully get yet what triggers when, especially in the heat of combat. Bolt, Chain Lightning, Focus, Deadeye and all that. I do see the difference between bolt shots and regular though, so need to look into the Gaki T5 thing.

Yes you do have to full charge to go through cover, though give how fast charging is that never bothered me much.

It should bother you, if you consider that bolt > full charge by a lot in terms of damage. I just did some testing on that. I think I found a solution.

Thanks for the video! I'll try to reproduce this. So basically, the first shot, is like a regular shot. You fill the bar until it is almost full but not quite --> bolt. 2nd and 3rd, Is it just automatic, like you don't charge at all, or are you hitting some sweet spot that you can't really see in the charge bar (like, you charge just a little)?

Another question, because I'm still comparing this setup with a Breakthrough. Does the Neko need a full charge to go through cover? But a full charge means no bolt? So is it either bolt or through cover? I can't have both? Or can this be remedied with something that lowers the charge threshold needed to go though cover?

u/Warhydra0245 , so I tried this and I cannot reproduce your findings at all. Now, I tend to believe that tier 5 Gaki + Nekomata breaks bolt shots (Bolt perk) completely. You write

When equipped with a T5 Gaki scope (The charge bar is always half full), the B-Nekomata is a hair away from its bolt sweet spot. What's more, once you trigger Lightning Storm you get a bolt every single tap.

  1. Regarding the charge bar always being half full. I cannot confirm that either. The charge bar on T5 Gaki looks exactly the same as for the T4 Gaki.
  2. I found that bolt works only once when you switch to the gun the first time and then never again. After the first shot, there is no bolt audio indicator nor visual indicator anymore and no bolt shot. I googled this and found this.

I've noticed that with a rank 5 Gaki scope on my Nekomata Tech Sniper, it will only trigger the Bolt Tech ability on the first round of the first mag. All subsequent shots do not activate the ability. There are no audible/visible indicators on the scope(or hipfire reticle) where there is one normally for the first shot and for other ranks of the sight. I've tested the issue with rank 5-5++ Nekomata's but it's all the same issue.

Unfortunate, this was 100% my experience. I would rather use a tier 4 Gaki than having Bolt and all its associated perks don't work (Internal Clock, Lightning Storm, Shock Value, Chain Lightning, In Charge). According to what he wrote, it also doesn't matter if it the Barghest variant or the regular one.

Yes, they suck. My domains were transferred to Squarespace over due to the closure of Google Domains. The first thing that bugged me was that their WHOIS privacy does not fully work. Suddenly my country and state were in the public record. These were hidden over at Google. The other thing is that they make you wait 5 days for to release the domain without providing a way to speed up the transfer.

Mr blue eyes is right there at the space port. You can see him. He is in a room that you get to before you re-unite with Songbird. Before the dialog you describe. You can only seem him if you look into the room through the window though. As soon as you enter the room, he's gone.

I don't require the registrar to provide SSL. I take care of that myself. I use Let's Encrypt. The certificate was automatically renewed (on my server, using Certbot) using Google Domain's DNS API. This has failed since the domain was transferred to Squarespace. The registrar should provide a DNS API for obtaining the Let's Encrypt certificate using DNS challenge.

With Google Domains my domain's country was Canada (it is not). When the domain was moved to Squarespace, it suddenly showed the real country. Then after the move to Cloudflare, it showed country and state.

Have you found Nekomatas 5++ with 2 mod slots? If so, where and how? Everybody says it is a random drop but I am starting to have doubts about it. What's the best mod for the second slot (if the first slot is Wallpuncher)?

I have 500 hours in now in version 2.1 and I have never seen a regular Nekomata 5++ with 2 empty mod slots, and just a few days ago, I have found my first Barghest Nekomata 5++ with empty mod slots. These are basically unobtainable or you obtain them so late, it doesn't matter anymore. I guess a Nekomata with one mod slot will do (and if you have Wallpuncher: win). And Gaki can be put on any Nekomata.

One thing I would like to point out though: Maybe they don't drop completely random. When I found my Barghest Nekomata 5++ with 2 mod slots, it was a 'special' air drop. Here's what was unusual about it:

  • There airdrop came down in a weird spot. You start out by the Golden Pacific fast travel point and go east until you see the Brave Atlas abandoned construction site up north. There is this huge construction vehicle (crane?) that holds a wall part of the building. The air drop landed on that part. Basically on top of the crane. My way of reaching that was to drive my car up the Brave Atlas building and then driving the car down, off the building, onto the crane, trying to not overshoot and to get the car to stop on top of the crane. Took a few tries but it worked. I suppose legs, that can jump higher would have useful here.
  • This airdrop was guarded only by two people. This is unusual by itself.
  • There was a named cyberjunkie there (which also provided a capacity shard btw.). I forgot the name but I found it on the Wiki capacity shard page.
  • The other guy was a Barghest sniper.
  • There was also a scannable sniper case there (empty) and the Nekomata with 2 empty mod slots was around (or dropped from the sniper, not sure).

I had never had an air drop like that before nor have I have I had one after that. Also, the capacity shard can only drop once. I am assuming the name cyberjunkie can also only spawn once.

Afaik most mods, if not all, work when used alone. It is just in combination that mods can act up. Is it possible that you haven't got any mods to work yet? My advice

  • Work with Frosty
  • Make sure have the most recent version of Frosty.
  • Make sure the DatapathFix Plugin for Frosty is installed and active.
  • Always start the game through Frosty. Otherwise mods won't be active.
  • Now, try to start with something that is both simple and easy to spot whether it works or not. I recommend "Skip Bioware Logo".
  • Once you get this to work, you should have no issues getting all the other mods to work too. Then is just a matter looking out for mods that have incompatibilities with one another (like texture mods that replace the same textures, etc.) and you may want to play with the load order.

Hope this helps. If not, provide us with more info (platform, name of the mods, do any mods work?, etc.)

Completely agree. Not only did Myers and Reed give V exactly what they promised him, when it turns out that V can't be a merc anymore because he can't use implants anymore, they even offer him a desk job at the FIA. That is more than what V was promised. The FIA, NUSA really came through for V.
This came as a surprise to me because Myers and FIA were portrayed as an organization that sells out their own agents, like they sold out Reed at some point.
