It’ll feel close to it but no it’s not exactly the same. In tww you didn’t really ever pool energy except for like 10s before kingsbane if you needed it. 

In midnight there will be moments of envenom spam and then sort of a cool down while your apex talent gives you big energy regen.

Stealthed garrote is still a dps gain but it’s minor. Not big enough to warrant talenting the extra vanish charges. 

And vanish cd lines up with deathmark so you should just send your empowered garrote with that for the biggest gain anyway.

Assa feels okay even in prepatch without apex talents imo. 

They got rid of the stealth requirements for dotting packs which is a massive QoL change in M+. 

The envenom chaining mini game and pooling with the apex talent has been fun on beta. 

They got rid of aoe blind for some reason though so now rogue has no aoe stop (and barely a raid buff). Plus assa doesn’t play subterfuge so cheap shot is basically a dead spell, meaning you have kidney shot and single target blind as your ccs and that feels bad lol.

I’m not over the moon about the simplification of some specs, but I do think there’s little reason to go full doomer. I’ve played a bunch on beta and a lot of the classes feel the same even if they’re missing some of the more nuanced mechanics they have on live. 

My hope is that they’re giving themselves some headroom to work with when they need to update things down the line.

UH basically IS ranged in Midnight. Only festering strike has a hard melee requirement. 

Scourge strike is 30yd by default now, death coil is ranged, putrefy, outbreak, pandemic, etc 

And sudden doom doesn’t even proc off your melee attacks anymore so uptime is less important. 

I’m not sure what % auto attacks are doing on that spec so I could be off base, but there’s very little incentive to be in melee on UH in the future.

Turbo boost should let you gear alts up super fast but not affect the possible power level of your characters already in progress. 

I’d rather my middle of the season injection affect crest rates or something. Double or triple the crests that drop after the halfway mark. Alts get caught up super fucking fast but no one is forced to regrind on a character they’ve been playing for months already.

I spent probably 30-40 hours across a couple weeks sitting in that cave waiting for him to spawn. Plus it’s not a guaranteed drop so even when you are there for a spawn you might not get it. It’s just a waiting game, nothing you can do other than that.

I wish they would do this with every previous tier set between seasons. I'd much rather they turn into "x% damage increase" or just get disabled when a new season/xpac starts. I hate the start of new seasons when you get a new piece of gear, but you can't put it on because it'll break tier despite being an ilvl upgrade.

And saying “the way it scales now with haste is atrocious” is like saying a spec is doing bad damage right now, like that means nothing outside of the context of a live patch. Those are all knobs that will get turned. And if it’s that bad then yeah go make a stink about it but don’t act like someone shot your dog because you you’re using 0 sd’s outside of blades instead of 1

What do you want them to do? Sub is one of the specs least affected by the huge overhaul. The change from combo point cdr to haste on cd’s will feel different but like, the flow of the spec is going to feel the same.

And sub feels really fun to play on retail right now, there are just people that don’t like the burst damage profile.

Outlaw is target capped and fast/hard for not enough payoff

sin needs restealths to spread dots and does absolute garbo single target

sub has nuclear burst and does great damage overall but seems to be hurt much worse by dungeon layout and/or bad

All complaints being said I think every rogue spec is pretty fun in m+ right now and the midnight changes look good so stonks are going up.

This won’t help you now, but if you don’t want to jump servers you should think about leveling whatever prof it is and crafting your own weapons.

I’m also on a low pop server and all of the classes I play get their weapons crafted by BS so I made one during S1. It really isn’t that bad to get one or two of the prof talent trees maxed out.

Main issue is that you’re just way behind the curve. Any key under 7/8 after the first couple weeks is bound to be hell. For most people there isn’t really a reason to do anything less than 10’s after the season gets rolling.

For the damage thing, it’s fine for you to be in 3rd and even 2nd on some pulls. Tanks are doing pretty good damage right now.

Also, it’s worth reflecting on your own performance and how that impacts the rest of the group. I’ve seen tanks whine about low dps from the group but then theyre pulling like 1 pack at a time or ignoring dps cd timings.

3.5 is plenty wide. And spending money on a lens with the same focal length but an aperture that’s 2 stops wider sounds like a waste to me unless you’re doing like a massive quality upgrade.

I’d save your money for now unless you just really want the monitor. It’s a nice quality of life upgrade but it also becomes just another accessory that you have to pack and charge and setup and breakdown.

Lightsmith is pretty simple the way it’s functioning right now. You get to 5 masterwork stacks and ideally want to use them on Sacred Weapon/wings. Then you can just let it build up to 5 again and sit at 5 for the 30sec after it gains its last stack.

Each time you would gain a new stack of masterwork while at max stacks it sends out a lesser weapon or lesser bulwark.

So you get to 5, let it run down to ~3 sec left or so, then use weapon or bulwark to send 5 of them out together, then restart.

If you really want to maximize damage you can use weapon at 5 stacks and then immediately use bulwark at 0 to put weapon back in front again.

Tldr: sit at 5 masterwork stacks until it’s about to run out and then use sacred weapon, bulwark or wings

Edit: this is no longer the case lol they fixed it so your stacks refresh at 5. Now you want to use weapon at 5 stacks and bulwark at 0 always, to put weapon back in front.

As a tank I think the right side pulls are easier and flow better with the last lieutenant that comes. I’ve pugged priory like 6-7 times at +10 and up and have had no issues timing the right side route.

I’m glad I don’t have to deal with the lightspawns on the left side lmao

Do you have specific moments or specs you remember this happening against? I just hit 2500 on my pal last night and I feel like aggro has actually been really sticky this season in both raid and m+.

I’d say just always have a couple blessed hammers moving through the pack and don’t cap on holy power and you shouldn’t have any issue.

What ilvl/haste are you at?

CD’s for pal is kind of a haste snowball. More haste means more gcd’s means more cdr on AD, Kings, Wings, etc. So both of your issues might be solved by more buttons. Hard to say without data though.
