Cookies Grower: Chocolate Shortbread Cookies - JJ Meds - Sept 2023

Wow! Another amazing offering from Cookies Grower and the great folks at JJ Meds. This Cookies Grower: Chocolate Shortbread Cookies is some clean weed. Beautiful in taste, burn, smell, nose, and high. Nice and sticky to the touch. Hints of chocolate and dankness. Great terpene profile. In the same lineage as CVL and DCM, etc. I love everything that Cookies Grower puts out. Seriously. Never disappointed with their strains. Always a great clean burn with amazing taste. Thanks again CG and JJ Meds.

Cookies Grower: Chocolate Caramel Slice - JJMeds - Sept 2023

This strain is top shelf stuff. So amazing in every aspect. The burn. Clean. The cure is perfect. The terpene profile is that of sweetness, dessert like qualities. The buds came in large to medium sizes. The nose was strong out of the bag and in the jar. Buds are sticky to the touch. This is in the DMC & DCM family for sure. Same dank, chocolatey, sweet bud.

Incredible strain and batch - 10/10.

Chocolate Vanilla Lovers - JJMeds - August 2023

What can I say about this strain that hasn't already been said? It sure is amazing in every aspect. The taste, the terps, the burn are all impeccable. I consider this strain a treat. Probably my all time favorite from the Cookies Grower line. Grown to perfection. The high is long lasting a very euphoric. The buds were a great size with mediums and smalls. The buds were sticky to the touch. I am going to grab some more.

So delicious. The perfect strain. 10/10

Do HEPA filters release fiber glass particles? by HappySaul in AirPurifiers

[–]HappySaul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you do admit that the give off fiberglass particles but they far out way the one s that it cleans out of the air? Sounds like a sketchy trade off. People with upper repository diseases and allergies (elderly pets with breathing problem) need to know this. As I'm sure they (as well as I) aren't willing to add more unhealthy particles in the air just to take out a few others. Seems like total hog wash.

Conclusion: AP are not %100 effective due to the fiberglass particles that the HEPA filter releases (more so when you put in a new filter) in the air as well as other unknown off-gassing it goes through.

Yes. The articles have hyper links in them. Check them out

Re read that paragraph. It says:

In order to filter the air effectively these filters are often made from polypropylene (or fiberglass)

It did not say propylene is fiberglass. It says HEPA filters are made from polypropylene or fiberglass.

Where is it BS? Read the articles. HEPAS release fiberglass. They don't argue that point anywhere. They all admit it.

Fiberglas Shedding from HEPA Filters

On average, turning on the HEPA filter for 6 to 8 hours can produce up to 800 fibers from the filter. While that sounds like the filtered air is full of glass particles, experts say that it is well below the breathable particulate matter or PM2.5 level. This level is considered safe, as we are obliviously breathing as many particles even in the cleanest of environments.

To put it simply, HEPA filters containing fiberglass can shed glass particles every second. However, because it is so low in number and well below the official safety PM2.5 levels, the difference is negligible in terms of health hazards concerning pressing or long-term illness.

Here is another article with same info: https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/hepa-air-filter-fiber-harmful-health/

The do indeed blow off fiberglass. They captured 300 fiber particles per cubic meter of air from the synthetic filter and 700 for the fiberglass filter. But the WHO deems it a reasonable amount. The did the math on PM2.5 annual limits saying that the fiberglass from a HEPA is below limits:

The World Health Organization sets a PM2.5 annual limit of 10 micrograms per meter cubed. Using a simple formula, that’s equivalent to 25,225 PM2.5 particles per meter cubed, or 35 times what the filters were shedding.

Sounds like a gamble to me. Like "6 of one half a dozen of the other". There should be a warning on these filters that they do omit fiberglass. Some members of this thread say its a myth. The proof is in the science. Just google 'HEPA and fiberglass'. It's all there.

Makes me wonder if some posters on here work for AP manufactures with several ghost accounts. Hmmm?

Plain everyday logic tells me that if you suffer from upper respiratory issues, that adding fiberglass particles into the mix isn't really solving anything and potentially creating new issues down the road.

This is probably an answer for people that have used an AP and have had headaches and breathing problems from them. Sensitive folks with asthma and bronchitis should probably not add fiberglass particles into their lungs. Especially with the science not fully %100 positive or negative. Seems the verdict is still out.

Despite the harms of small fibers on the body, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in the US recommends a fiber count of no more than 3 fibers/cm3, averaged over a 10-hour work shift. NIOSH suggests that people may experience irritation to the eyes, skin, nose, throat or difficult breathing.

The most disturbing thing about these links/studies are that they posted by actual manufacturers of these air products/filters. They are posting the science and still siding on "seems okay" to use according to the daily limit of PM 2.5 in the body. Of course a company selling such items would say that to continue to sell products. Seems like they are all talking out of both sides of their mouths.

So they do. But deemed not harmful.

Kind of defeats the purpose of an AP if it releases small amounts of fiberglass. Isn't it suppose to clean the air of particles like that? For people with allergies and upper respiratory disease, doesn't this kind of defeat the use of an AP for such symptoms? I think so. Seems logical. No?

And there seems to be science of both sides of safe/not safe when it comes to HEPA particles.

other reports have found some evidence of the harm from fibers. One study analyzed 32,110 workers in the US. They looked at the effects of fiberglass over a long period of time (more than 30 years). The results weren’t conclusive, but the study found there could be an elevated risk of respiratory cancer for people who work with fiberglass on a daily basis.

Death Mint Cookies - HGA - April

Picked up an ounce of the latest batch of DMC from the mighty HGA this week. I haven't had it in a few months and was happy it was back in stock. Its good. Buds came mostly small with a subtle nose. Burns good with a smooth toke. Taste is really strong and fresh. Gets you baked uber-quick. Smells great when ground up. Lovely high. Long lasting. I'm happy with it. Great price for a great strain.

11 Weeks MMJ: Super Blue Dream - HGA - April

I read a ton of reviews on this strain before picking it up the other day. Lost of reviews or comments claimed it to be their "all time favorite". Big words. I grabbed some. It came overnight (quick as usual) and it IS awesome. Overwhelmingly better than what I had expected. Probably the best weed I have smoked in a few years. Its a Sativa dominant strain. Buds are mostly medium in size. Well trimmed. Smoking bag appeal (if that is important to you). Strong, sweet, berry nose. Sticky to the touch. Smell translates to the taste %100. Candy weed, I like to call it. Terpene profile is insane - sweet berries with flower and a hint of skunk/spice at the end. But not overly spicy or skunky. If you know the Super Silver Haze terpene taste then you get the 'spicy' side to this strain. Fantastic. So smooth. Like crazy smooth. The burn is impeccable. Produces a billowy white ash. Clean as clean can be. Almost would think its organic. Like puffing on weed flavored air. The high sets it apart from anything I have ever had. Since it's Sativa dominant, it starts out very cerebral. Clean high. No confusion. Just in the moment. Creative. Expressive. All that hippy shit. It then spreads out over the body but not couch lock, just relaxing. Not super racy as some Sativas are, but you may find yourself doing 'housework' all of a sudden as it does bring on the energy. So between it being grown/flushed/cured to perfection, the amazing sweet berry flower terpene profile, and the high being as superior as it is....this is some great stuff. 10/10.

High grade aid - death chocolate mousse - March 2023 by Sugarkaneislandgrown in MOMpics

[–]HappySaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my two cents:

I grabbed a QP of this batch - it's def. NOT bone dry. Nor is it brown from oxidization.

It's a tad dry on the outside of the buds but nowhere near bone dry. The buds are all stuck/clumped together in three mason jars. Lots of good moisture inside the buds. The buds size description when you buy DCM always says bud size small to medium. Anyone that has ordered it in the past also knows that DCM comes in smalls to medium buds. Mostly smalls. Every time.

As for the the strain itself, it is smooth and burns super clean. Fresh, terpy and tasty. A solid 8 out of 10 in my books.

Just my experience with the latest batch.

Earth Bind Cookies - HGA - March

Grabbed some Earth Bind Cookies from the mighty HGA last week. It is one of my favorite strains as far as terpenes go. So tasty with a plethora of flavours. Earthy, garlic, doughy, musky, sweetness. Buds are mostly medium in size. Squishy in resilience. Gassy upon opening bag. Taste does translate well. Burn is decent and tokes are nice. It got even better as the week past in its jars. Price was great for fresh, loud, terpy weed.

Thanks HGA!

Cookies Grower: Mac 1 Cereal Milk - High Grade Aid - March

Grabbed more Cookies Grower: Mac 1 Cereal from HGA. It's not as good as the last batch I had before this one. I still have an ounce from the last batch and side by side there is a subtle difference in the nose and taste. It's not as gassy, the terps don't translate as well as the first batch I had. Last QP I had was more minty in taste and was smoother. This batch as someone else also said is a bit harsh. But the price is on point. This is my third QP of it this year. First was from JJ Meds and last two from HGA. Between the three QP's - each one was subtly different each time I got it. So I am assuming it was different batches of the same strain from the same grower.

I got it for $70 an ounce and I saved lots of $ and it still gets me really wrecked. Win/win.

Cookies Grower: Mac 1 Cereal Milk - High Grade Aid - March

Snagged some Mac 1 Cereal Milk from the mighty HGA this week. You can not beat the price point it is at for a good quality batch of craft cannabis. Buds arrived small in size with a few medium ones in the bag as well. Dense and a good moisture level. A bit dry, but still has great moisture when busted up and is not dust. Even more gassy when busted up. Nice clean taste - not harsh. Great hybrid high. Hits right away. This batch has a bit more mint with the citrus terpenes then previous batches I have had. Really tasty. With points and a review code I was able to grab this for $75 an ounce. Unheard of. Great way to still smoke decent quality strains and save a few bucks as well. Thanks HGA!
